Azerai La Residence Hue

The hotel is truly first class. It is comfortable, very clean, beautiful and most of all the staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful, and always interested in making sure that guests feel welcome and have whatever one needs. I would like to give special thanks and recognition to Tam, Nguyen, Vy, Khoa, and all the breakfast and spa staff and housekeeping staff who made our stay special.

Service outstanding. Moon at the concierge and front desk, and Tri were superb.

Staff is very nice and helpful, we have late check out for free. hotel room is beautiful and clean but little bit small. The restaurant is good too.

Probably the best hotel/resort in Hue. Colonial history and architecture sets the tone for a true 5-star experience, and the staff know exactly how to uphold that service. Food was mostly just okay, but extremely well-presented. However my Beef Tournedos was one of the best steaks I've eaten! The Perfume River Suite had a massive two-corner terrace with sunset and river views that made our stay truly special.

Our first room Deluxe King with River View felt small and had only one air con vent for two rooms - causing one room to be freezing while the other was warm. We paid to move to a larger room - which we enjoyed immensely!

It was ok, but not more

There were river construction and although construction at the front. Pool/garden/terrace use was not possible and balcony of the room were above hotel entrance facing other construction. Breakfast was ok, but not outstanding.We left after one night.

This is a stylish colonial hotel with attentive staff close to the centre and Imperial city.

Unfortunately there are building works taking place next to the hotel very close to the pool. It’s noisy from 7am and the workers were playing loud music. The hotel offer a complimentary drink as a token of goodwill on arrival as they are aware of this disruption.

The art deco building is impressive and the rooms well appointed. Staff very friendly.

Unfortunately they are in the process of building a new restaurant at this hotel. Works are noisy and although the stunning 30m swimming pool is in use it is not possible to relax as it is adjacent to the works site. We paid extra for a room facing the perfume river but the view was severely obscured by the building site and cranes. Such a shame as the hotel is in an excellent location. We are our first night at the hotel restaurant and had local dishes. Personally I felt we’d eaten more flavoursome food and it was very very overpriced even for a higher rated hotel.

Amazing staff. Nothing us too much trouble for them.

TV kept freezing which was a bit annoying. The staff tried to sort it out, but unfortunately dud not manage to.

The hotel had understated beauty that provided quiet space in a busy city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was in a beautiful dining area and was lovely.

The river bank in front of the hotel was under construction, but didn’t bother us too much. (2025.02.25)

Every single member of staff goes beyond expectations to provide a friendly and efficient service. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, despite construction work going on by the river. Food is superb. Reception desk staff work hard to fulfill their guests’ needs. They provided a hotel minibus to take us on to Hue at a very reasonable cost which was modern, clean and fully equipped for the journey, including massage chairs and refreshments, as well as a very amicable driver. Our second stay here and would love to find a reason to return again!

Some people swam in the pool but I found it just a tad too cold. Perhaps the heating could be switched on?

Views of the river. Great staff. Quiet area. Great breakfast.

We had breakfast and dinner there and the service was good; we particularly liked the dinner in the dining room-good food choices and nice ambience.

We liked the fact that there were little cakes for guests to help themselves in the afternoon but when we ordered tea to have with it we had to pay for the tea which was freely available in our room. In other hotels we've stayed at we could order tea or coffee with the sweets served.

The art deco style of the building!! It makes you feel you were traveling in the 1930’ well kept gardens and beautiful location !!

Great location, beautiful spacious property, kind and helpful staff, wonderful spa.

Wow what an incredible pool! 30-40 mtrs long depending.the building oozes colonial charms and is well maintained..glorious location right on Perfume River (Song Huong) and easy walking distance to many sights, cafes and restaurants. Breakfast staff very welcoming, provided special request mango, assembled excellent pho and as with all the staff provided a gracious hospitality. The concierge Ms Moon was resourceful and friendly...arranging a tour of tombs & surprising us with an anniversary bouquet of roses and sweet treats...the related restaurant Le Circle less than 10 mn walk down the river is splendid with perfect sunset views. Front desk crew and drivers first rate and enjoyed good massage at the spa. For some good local food visit Madame Thu and for upscale dining in a lovely villa across the river is Les Jardins de Carambole. Try the local salt coffee and for great roastery of Vietnamese Arabica (from many areas)...go to Nha Quin..about 7 mn by cab.

-the personalized service : the staff is very attentive to your needs and we really loved the tours they organized.- the intelligent fusion of tradition and modernity : yes you're staying in a magnificent historical building but the rooms and facilities are very comfortable and modern- excellent food : from the delicious biscuits in the car, the Hue cakes at night, diner at Le Parfum, breakfast, macaroon...perfect!

Lovely, tranquil and relaxing hotel. Everything was a very high standard, beautifully designed and decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was a glorious retreat from the heat of Hue. We loved our two-night stay at the Azerai!

Only comment I'd make is to encourage the hotel to use refillable containers for bathroom toiletries - shampoo, shower gel etc...help save the planet!

Gorgeous place and amazing spa and pool area

The location is ok but not the best - however, nice and peaceful and taxis are about €1 into town

Everything was great: the room, the restaurant on premise, the staff. Super clean, highly recommended.
