Hotel Saigon Morin

We asked for river view and got a room on the third floor that faced the entrance to the Truong Tien Bridge. The window soundproofing was excellent so we spent a lot of time relaxing just looking out. Buffet breakfast in the courtyard was great.

Not a thing, the staff was great, the old school colonial setting utterly charming.

Well appointed hotel, clean, great location, and a great staff.

Amazing breakfast selection, particularly a good variety of regional and popular vietnamese dishes. Special point of difference was serving breakfast in the elegant courtyard where we got to enjoy the morning gentle sun, sound of the water fountain and breeze and surrounded by lush trees. The location by the river and just across the Imperial City and Dong Ba market was our most convenient and our top priority. The beauty of the French architecture and building history were a bonus, taking me back in time.

By the same token of a beautiful historical building, it is old and can be short of comfort in some aspects. The hotel would be amazing if the owner is ready to upgrade certain things such as the a/c system in the lifts, brighter lighting in the bedroom, install some wall paintings, fix the substrates under floorboards as some parts were springy

Hotel was a bit quiet, not so well maintained and dated, possibly due to low season. Which resulted in some facilities advertised was not always available /open

Good location

Very old outdated hotel. it’s hot in VN and for a 5 star hotel they didn’t have AC in lobby. They also are not honest and charged twice for the amount of people in the room. We had a big group with multiple rooms and not all rooms were stocked equally (example is the water bottles, drinks and food) so at check out we were charged with those so called missing items when in reality they never stocked them fully. Make sure you record or takes pictures when you enter the room for proof.

The daily maintenance for the room cleaning service. The huge selection for the breakfast buffet. The friendly and professional receptionist and valets.

There’s a difficulty when using the bathtub faucet that allows the water to flow either from the faucet or the shower. It’s difficult to pull just for it to make the water flow to the shower head, so I’m unable to shower properly.

The location is excellent — very central, close to many good restaurants, and within easy walking distance of the citadel.

We booked tomb visits through the hotel and arranged a driver for 3 hours based on the hotel’s advice that a single tomb visit would take around 1.5 hours. In reality, the visit took only about 20 minutes. When we then asked to visit another nearby tomb (only about 2 km away), we were told an additional charge would apply, despite us having planned our schedule according to the information provided.Additionally, the air conditioning in the room was extremely loud, making it impossible to use overnight and affecting our sleep. The bathroom door was also very difficult to open and close.More accurate communication about tour durations and pricing, as well as better attention to room maintenance, would significantly improve the guest experience.

Location is great, room is big, garden is beautiful

Though breakfasts have a variety of choices, taste and quality are only ok, not meet our expectation as a famous 5 stars hotel in Hue. Breakfasts quality needs to be improved

The rooms are a bit dated with very old AC units that do not really cool down the room. My bed was not comfortable at all. The gel provided for the shower (a tiny bottle) is clearly not enough.

Nice old-world, historic charm. Well located in Hue, walking distance to many restaurants and Imperial City. Staff were super nice, extremely helpful and welcoming. Nice view from the room.

The rooms could use a bit of modernizing, though everything worked pretty well.

The facility was in bad condition. The AC in our room was not working. Mold was on the lampshade. The rooms were dingy and pillow was stained. Everything appeared sad, smelly and moldy.The hallway was hot and musty.Light in the elevator wasn’t working. The hotel gives a creepy vibe like a horror movie. It was almost empty. It seemed like we were the only occupants on the third floor. The ground exudes a neglected feeling. It was bad that we had to check out as early as we could. The location is great. I hope this review will prompt the owner to improve the hotel.

Breakfast in the Courtyard was excellent

This is a stately old hotel that needs to have some money spent on it to restore it to its former glory. It is just a bit tired.The pool area needs attention and some trees for shade
