    Pros +

    • Beautiful, spacious, clean, great location and friendly staff.
    • Located right in the center of the town of Aguas Calientes! It was easy walking distance from the train station and right across where the Bus picks you up to go up to Machu Picchu. The rooms were very clean!
    • Very comfortable and clean! The staff members are so friendly and helpful. Best place to stay in town for a trip to Machu Picchu!

    Cons -

    • The hotel is a bit outdated with loose buttons, things like TV, hair dryer etc not working (correctly) etc. It's not worth the quite expensive price. We booked this room mostly for the jacuzzi, and that's also not worth it. The jacuzzi is smaller than we thought it would be based on pictures. And the first one we had was leaking. After a bit of a hassle they came up with a reasonable solution (we got another room the next day and a small compensation for the first day), but also in the next room some things were not working correctly again. We also heard from other guests about issues with their jacuzzi. For half the price all of this would be ok, but not with this price. Earlier this week we had a better room in Arequipa, for a price 3 times less!
    • It is more like hostel . Not a boutique hotel. Beds are uncomfortable and rooms are strange
    • The water on the Hydro Bath was coming a little dirty .

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Our room was clean, roomy and had all the amenities. The beds are firm which isn’t my preference, but is for others. Really lovely and highly recommend.

Location is great, with nice views. Beds are also decent. Staff is also doing their best to keep guests happy, which can be difficult as it's an expensive hotel and it's just not worth the cost. Breakfast was good and staff there also very nice!

The staff lead Luis was fantastic, he stayed in touch when booking questions arose and helped resolve them and his manager was very helpful as well. The kitchen staff was on top of things and Kabel in particular were very pleasant and enjoyed conversation as well as guidance on what to see

We were willing to spend significantly more to stay at this hotel as it offered a hot tub in the room (important to me after long day of hike) but the hot tub water was unhygienic to use. I understand that Machu Picchu hotels uses river water but the water in our hot tub had visible dirt and hair floating in it. I showed front desk pictures of the water but owner and staff decided to do nothing!

Great location , staff could not be more helpful . Nice breakfast with the tranquil sound of the river

Staff was very kind and extremely helpful. A staff person waited for us at the train station and walked us to the location. Staff was also very helpful during train delays/cancellations, and allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel. On-site massage service was convenient and well-priced. Breakfast was especially delicious.

Shower heat was somewhat unreliable and the room felt humid. Pillows were also very firm.

Staff was great and the room was exactly what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was available at 5am which helped us energize for our hike at Machu Picchu. The staff also allowed us to relax after our hike while we waited for our train. They even had showers available for post hikes. Before we left, the gave us an owl for our front door as a blessing. They were absolutely amazing.

It’s 2 minutes from the train station, 2 minutes for the bus to machu pichu and very centrally located. The rooms are big and clean. Staff is very nice!! Massage services are superb!!! Breakfast is on the top floor and has a beautiful view and breakfast options are fantastic!! The inner rooms have no ventilation, unless you leave the windows open. But the windows open in the hallway so you can’t leave them open. We knew we were getting an inner room but didn’t expect no ventilation, so the room would smell of our dirty socks/ shower steam etc. Next time I’d just not get the inner room otherwise everything was perfect!!!

Beautiful, comfortable room with a great view.

Concrete grinding most of the day. For the area was a little pricey.

Great location. Staff was exceptional felt like family ! Breakfast outstanding

    9JosenagPosted on: 7-26-2025

Very convenient location, nice room setting (5th floor, facing the river), very comfortable beds, quite friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast.

No temperature control at the room, safety box with problems, minibar door did not close properly, only blackout curtains included.

Have contradictory feelings. From one hand, it’s exactly what you need for couple of nights for Machu Pichu - right in the center, lovely lady met us in railway station to show the way (but it’s 1 min walk), clean. But in the morning when we went to Machu at 6, upon our return at 8 (check out time was 10 or 11), all our luggage was at reception as they thought we checked out without saying it to them. And they lost one bag (after we found it in the room). Super weird approach.
