The Ranee Boutique Suites

Great location and beautiful spacious room. (I think 106?) Very quiet with a beautiful reading room also available. The hotel had a really lovely vibe about it and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay at the Ranee.

The location is super. Breakfast is very nice. The staff are very kind and helpful.

The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The location is very convenient.

The layout of the building is weird. You have to haul your suitcases up a staircase to get to the elevator.

Excellent location. boutique decors. Near eateries. Very close to landmark buildings. Breakfast cooked to order. Large rooms with amenities.

No fitness or swimming pool.

Thoroughly enjoyed the eclectic vintage style of this boutique hotel. The areas available to all for reading or playing cards is certainly an added attraction.

Very comfortable room, good breakfast, interesting artifacts. The location is central to the waterfront and a lot of the attractions of Kuching.

Hotel is dated and not maintained. The cafe and bar are closed contrary to their website

Location was perfect. I really liked the decor. Nice big bathtub was great. Breakfast was very good - cooked to order and both western and Malaysian options.

Good breakfast with daily fruit. Especially appreciated the local bananas. Staff were courteous and did their best for guests. I was grateful that they changed my bedroom after my daughter asked for this. It made the stay much more pleasant. Altogether the stars of the hotel Ranee were the the staff.

Mosquitoes managed to get in! Possibly because this was during the rainy reason when we visited. Ask for the mosquito repellent, staff will provide if you ask. In line with the experience of other guests, the water pressure in the showers not always consistent.

Location opposite Waterfront kuching.

No TV channel due to weather conditions in Sarawak for the last few days.. surprisingly other hotel tv channel doesn't have tv channel problem for the last few days.

Location is great. Room was very clean, much better than 5-stars hotel chains. Good internet connection. Breakfast was simple but elegant, staff was helpful.

No TV. The TV system was down for the whole 5 days. A/C in the bedroom was not working. Noise only, no cool air. This was known to staff as we were told at checkin to leave the A/C in the living room on at all time. Living room not bright enough. Can's read book at night.

Right on the river in an interesting old building that has been tastefully renovated. Good sized room at the front with a view across to the government building that is lit at night. Very clean. comfortable bed and pillows. Good wifi. Nice sitting area with bookshelves on the 1st floor.

The staff were busy with their phones and a bit neglectful. When I dragged my suitcase down the stairs from the lift accidentally dropping a book with a loud bang the guy at the desk didn’t even lift his head, let alone offer to help. Those stairs up to the lift are annoying too. Cafe is closed except for breakfast.

Location, larger than usual rooms and great housekeeping, front desk and breakfast team.

Had a terrible and unpleasant encounter with the Admin/Office Manager during check out. while it may be our fault for the error of judgment, her very rude and callous behavior on handling the situation and insisting on us paying a fine was the one and only reason I wouldn’t return to the property nor recommend it to my friends. it was sad to end my pleasant 5 night stay there with this experience.

Fabulous location - easy to walk to all places of interest and just across the road from the busy river promenade so felt completely safe walking back in the dark after dinner.The antique accents in the decor are beautiful!

really great location, very big room with comfortable bed and good bathroom. Finally got a room at the back which was lovely and quiet. The rooms on the front are noisy because of the main road.

Breakfasts were poor with little choice except eggs done in 3 ways and 2 types of cereal and 2 types of fresh fruit. This gets monotonous every day. The bread is sweet so not to our taste. There is no one available to help with excusions even though they said there was. Make sure you have it in writing if you adk for a quoet room - saves awkwardness on arrival.
