The Village House

Everything... the ambient was calming and nostalgic. Staff were friendly, definitely the best place to unwind after hectic busy days in city...

Breakfast was nice but wished for more variations, like buffet styles maybe. Little bit difficult to locate the place, wished for a signboard at least.

Breakfast was good, simple but they had a variety of preselected options. Ambience was also good, calm and relaxed environment with a nice pool.

Toilets in room did not work very well flushing.

A lovely, traditional-style hotel with the feeling of being in the forest. The rooms are simply furnished and clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is super and beautifully clean. The restaurant offers a good choice of fresh made food and a wide range of drinks, all good value. Even better though are the staff, who made our stay wonderful, especially Rubaini and Lin.

Super nice staff who ensured we had everything needed for our stay. Lovely accommodation with pool and it was a great place to relax. The design is so nice and peaceful.

Food was a little disappointing and expensive. There are however a couple of restaurants in the village which do quite nice food. It would have been nice to have fruit available for breakfast or even fruit juice. A fridge in the room and the ability to make tea/coffee would also be good.

The setting, outdoor spaces and the ambience. Very good staff.

Misinformation in booking dot com. The property advertised as including breakfast and dinner when booked. When we arrived, it was said that dinner is actually excluded and it was due to booking dot com failure to update information. We've contacted booking dot com few times and had no response.Also Misinformation on the cost of airport transfer in the FAQ which was more than what was in the FAQ.The cost of organising transport by the hotel is also overpriced.

Clean,excellent staff and great pool.

Drinks a bit expensive. Would recommend having a car. Rentals are cheap at the airport.

The staff is amazing. Very attentive and making your stay very special. The food in the restaurant is expetionally good. It's a very peaceful place, perfect to rest and relax. Many different cozy spaces you and enjoy , even when it's raining. Shuttle service around Santubong: at any time they drop you off where you want and then pick you up. I will be back for sure.

I honestly liked everything about this place.

The property is fabulous. It is like a little oasis. A lovely pool surrounded by the rooms and plentiful vegetation. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to be helpful and make sure you are enjoying your stay. Can’t recommend the place highly enough.

No signboard for us to locate if the place is the actual The Village House.The choice of breakfast are limited and not so nice. (Im not being picky but its hard for me to finish it)

Awesome place to disconnect and recharge! The garden is lovely, and I loved the big pool. All staff members are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The area offers some great activities and excursions, too!

The Hotel is great! It has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. I was very surprised about how lovely the place was decorated. Itˋs a perfect place to slow down and relax for a few days including the possibility to go to one of the national parks close by. It was really quiet at Night and also during the day by the Pool. The staff is really friendly and breakfast is good.

Dinner sadly was quite expensive but didnˋt seem very fresh. But you donˋt have to eat at the Hotel!

Prebooked breakfast included, optional dining option available up to 10pm. Clean pool perfect for dipping. Low density with fair occupancy. Rent a car to get around or prebook tours available. Staff service was excellent.

More food options for someone who is Gluten Free! But this is more my problem. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, the swimming pool cool and refreshing. The beds are comfortable.

I did find the price a bit high for the quality we got. The rooms are quite small and don't offer any facilities like a mini fridge or kettle. The food was sometimes great and sometimes less so. The breakfast buffet could be more elaborate.

swimming pool is amazing, breakfast really rich and delicious, staff available, kind, and friendly (they helped me a lot) and the atmospheer very relaxing, they gave me a bike for free tovisit the village (and a map with info). i highly recommend!! there is even a leg massage chair for free! Only disappointing point for me qas to find out that I couldn't swim at te beaxch nearby because of crocodiles. I should have checked better! Thanfully they told me! But not far form there there is another beach (10 min by car) where you can swim.

Cleanliness and service.

Bai's Service was excellent. Customer satisfaction was his utmost importance. He did whatever he could, even went out of his way to ensure our requests were met.

The room is clean and comfy. A place of peace and quiet, a place to relax and unwind. The management and staffs are very helpful and friendly. Really appreciate their understanding and kindness. The breakfast is good, around the pool area with the beautiful frangipani tree and plants. Just beautiful. This is a memorable stay, thank you so much.

Sorry to say, there is no water boiler in the room. Maybe the management can have rooms at ground level and not the sharing type of rooms to enable elderlies who are not able to climb the stairs up to the upstairs room. Just a suggestion.

Lovely stay, the staff was very thoughtful and took care of us. Very restful and comfortable near the pool. Very agreable quiet place, quite green. Food was nice and freshly prepared. The village nearby is close with groceries shop, people helpful, a very nice local restaurant close. We went through 2 excursions with the hotel , which were quite pleasant ( Bako NP and Satang Island with snorkeling). For Satang Island, the hotel has changed of company , so that maybe explains why previous comments are differents than our experience . The sea is nearby with beautiful sunset.

The hotel menu was not varied, but we could compensate with the restaurant in the village There was crocodiles in the sea close by, so no diving allowed.

Best hotel I had in a very long time. Everything is clean, the staff is very friendly and the area is beautiful. You’ll feel so welcome here!
