AIHO Hotel Medan

The bed is so comfortable, the room is very spacious with a great city view. The hotel is centrally located from restaurants and other services. The breakfast was amazing.

The Wi-Fi was intermittent but when available it was okay.

Friendliest and helpful staff! Breakfast buffet was big and till 10.30 AM.

1 elevator out of order and no stairs to use...

I recently had a great experience at Aiho Hotel Medan. My stay was very comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I had no issues getting a good night's sleep. The air conditioner worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and pleasant throughout my visit. I was also very pleased to find the bathroom was clean. A big point for me was that I had specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel staff ensured this request was met, providing me with exactly the room I needed.

LOCATIONClose enough to the center that you can walk. ROOMBig, clean and comfortable. BATHROOMClean. Hot water. Toilet with built in bidet. STAFF/LOBBYStaff allowed me to renew the "upgraded" room at the same price (600K) as the basic room instead of making me change rooms. KITCHEN/MEALS Breakfast is a buffet with various asian dishes (nasi goreng, mee goreng, steamed vegetables, some fish, eggs, toast, pastries, fruits...). OTHERTwo pools. A larger deeper one and more of a kiddie pool. The larger one isn't great for lap swimming - only about 15 meters and has a bit of a strange shapeThey gym is nice. Has a good amount of equipment (treadmills, machines, free weights, kettlebells) for a hotel gym. Provides towels and water as well.

ROOMAC was weak. Room wasn't hot, but not cool either. STAFF/LOBBY-Some confusion at check-in. They didn't have the room type that I booked. I was given an "upgrade" that meant I had to wait while they moved two twin beds together instead of the queen bed I had booked. KITCHEN/MEALS -no water refillWIFIA bit spotty.

Rooms were terrible, filled with mosquitoes, I switched rooms twice and both rooms had terrible AC a fan would have been better then the AC, water pressure in shower wasn’t too good either, ants in the room, showers don’t drain, TV cable went out all the time.

The staff is Amazing. So kind and welcoming.Nice room and fantastic breakfast.I loved my stay.

My room was very noisy. I have a view on a gaz station and the music was very loud.

At the breakfast, the bread options need some improvement.

Great value, Spa was lovely had a very good massage, staff were helpful at hotel and spa, room was comfy and non smoking. Pool was good.

Towells in the room smelt funny

Great hotel, comfy bed, clean room and very good size. Check in was fast.

Only downside is they don’t seem to be very well organised. They claim to have 24/7 room service but when we called at 10pm they didn’t offer that service and made us wait 20min before answering.

Nice staff good location

Room was humid and musty, ac didn’t work very well, no king sized beds available so we had two small beds, the room was outdated and moldy. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff have been very helpful and welcoming. We asked questions about the city. They gave us very detailed explanation with such a nice and professional attitude. We asked about bakery that sells Indonesian cake Lepis legit. Lobby staff helped us call and reserve the cake as we don’t speak Indonesia. She went beyond general service to the best level.

The room cleanness need to be improved. Had stains in bedsheet. A little bit of smell from sewage of toilet. Not too bad though.

Friendly bar staff.

Pool was dirty and damaged in places. (Damaged tiles, pool steps) unable to have drinks by pool. Worn and damaged carpets, paint and rendering not maintained on external walls. Grouting in bathroom black from mould.

Good value for money, nice big rooms. Good swimming pool with very few guests using it:)

We had some issues with the included breakfast with the room, the hotel tried to charge us for the kids breakfast even though it was rooms for 2 people with 1 adult and 1 child (therefore not an extra child on top of 2 adults). It took them forever to get confirmation that our kids could have breakfast without extra charge... Now we will always say our kids are adults to avoid having that situation... Also the rooms facing the swimming pools are quiet but there is some noise on the other side of the hotel so we had to change room for the 2nd night.

The towels are probably more than 20 years. Look unclean.

It felt very luxurious for us, especially since we just came back from the jungle. Everyone was nice, the room was big, clean and well-provided, there was room service

- We booked a 90’ massage for 2 people but only ended up getting 60’ for the same price, the ladies at the staff couldn’t speak any English so we never got to understand why. However, the massage itself was really good!

5-star facility @ USD 30.00 is amazing. At the reception they upgraded my room to 'Deluxe' without my asking. That was real surprise for me. I didn't feel like walking as the floor was so clean that I didn't want to spoil it! There are a good number of malls and branded stores nearby. Taxi arrangements are excellent and economical.
