Elite Hotel Mimer

The staff is very helpful and even in a busy time like Christmas, they were still very cheerful and helpful. I also liked the location of the hotel, it was so easy to go the riverside, to the museums and the library as well. Being in a cold city, walkability is important i guess :)And the hotel is an old high school which was very well renovated

I wish there was more fruit available in the breakfast and there were some towels in the sauna room so I don't have to carry from the room.

The room was clean and big, the breakfast was good and multifarios.

Parking is available with a fee as anywhere in the city.

The staff was very friendly and helpful despite our late check in. The staff remained friendly for the duration of the trip

The showers were challenging to keep the water contained and we needed to use extra towels to keep the water contained.

Everything was excellent — the location, the facilities, and the staff were all wonderful!

In my home country China, hotels usually offer free parking, so I was a bit surprised it wasn’t included. Maybe this common in Sweden or Europe??

As normal, our stay at the Elite Mimer was wonderful! Their included breakfast buffet was the star as always, but we also enjoy the sauna, closeness to the city center, comfortable rooms, and friendliness of the staff. Great place to stay.

The room was much nicer than what i expected, the bed and the pillows were incredibly comfortable, the staff was nice and very helpful, the breakfast was delicious and i loved that they have those big mugs for tea/coffee. Another big plus is that the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower.

I stayed there for one night as it was the closest hotel to Folkuniversitet, where i was going to write an exam the next day. I was very stressed, but this hotel actually made the entire experience less stressful. The only things that I wasn't a big fan of is the absence of parking spots for guests, and the transparent elevator. For someone who has a severe phobia of heights, that elevator can be a real challenge, but for the rest of the people i guess it could be a plus. My child loved that elevator, so it's a matter of preferences.

First I have to mention how incredibly friendly everyone was. I had to send some packages beforehand and the hotel had to store them for me quite a while and the staff was so accomodating and helpful and always answered so fast. I really appreciated it. There were treats, a bowl and a blanket for the dog on my room. The hotel itself is lovely and super conveniently located. The breakfast room is nice and big. Would stay here again if I come back to Umeå.

The hotel was comfortable, with a spacious room and a clean bathroom.

Breakfast is served only until 9:00, which is shorter than the usual hotel breakfast, which typically lasts until 10:00. However, I can’t complain more. It was tasty and fresh. We stayed at the hotel for three nights but couldn’t sleep due to the noise outside from snow plowing and ice removal on the road. Not being able to sleep for three nights during an important business trip was unacceptable. The snow plowing started late each evening and continued until 4 AM. I have no idea why it took so long, especially since the snowstorm only happened on the first day. After that, there wasn’t much left to clear. When we brought this up with the staff, they simply responded that there was nothing they could do.If such disturbances are unavoidable, the hotel should either adjust its pricing accordingly or inform guests about the potential inconvenience at the time of booking.

Historical building and attention to details in service make this place my personal return-to destination in Umeå.

Check-out time at 11am forces to hurry up in the morning, yet is a reasonable requirement.

Wow, I was just passing Umea and needed a stay for one night. At the Mimer I found a perfect place to stay, actually I already plan to go back. Very friendly staff, clean room with comfy bed, exceptional breakfast buffet. I felt welcomed and was sad to leave after just one night.

I booked superior double room with a view and with large windows. I travel with a dog which I also informed hotel. When I arrived and I paid I was told I would get another room in a dark small basement room for expensive money. I can understand that you only want to use certain rooms as a pet room. What I don't understand is why they don't communicate that way and squeeze luxury prices for basement rooms.

The location was good, the room was beautiful, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Extremely quiet in the room, it felt like we were the only ones there. Breakfast was nice.We have stayed in a few different hotels in Umeå and this is by far our favourite.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, thoroughly enjoyed it.

The room we got was first floor where all you could hear was buses going until the early hours of the morning and then started really early.

Large clean room with comfortable bed, shower and a bath. Excellent location in the shopping district. Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide range of options.

Everything, lovely immaculate room, bathroom was roomy and also immaculate.

I don't understand why in Sweden and Finland the scrambled eggs are either made from powder or a pre mixed liquid. Breakfast would be much better if real eggs were scrambled.

The rooms were so big, staff were really nice and I loved the breakfast! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
