Regency Park Hotel

Friendly female staff.Mattress was swapped when we discovered ours was stinky.

We were locked in the hotel compound on New Years Eve at 11:30pm. No one was available to let us out. It was horrible to feel like a prisoner. The walls were topped with barbed wire and we could not even climb out to celebrate New Years.Never would I have expected to be unable to freely leave the hotel compound.

The location is central and good to walk around

Spacious room in which almost everything was broken. The price is too high for rooms in such condition.

Central location in Mombasa, safe environment, very friendly and helpful staff, very tasty breakfast buffet, 24h reception. We arrived at 4am with the night train from Nairobi and could take our room immediately. They also organised a pickup from the station at this time.

Wifi sometimes not working in the room but always in the recepton area.

Generally the age, up keep and standard was low. I was disturbed in the night, by the call to prayer. The air conditioner was old. The fan was noisy. The breakfast was very poor. Cheap cutlery, "margarine" offered when "butter" was asked for. Powdered coffee. Kenya deserves better. Kenya is improving, this managemet is stuck in the past

Food was poor. Standards too low for a city hotel. It is a very basic bed for the night. All aspects are old, and falling apart .

Good value for money. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. They ensured the quality of our stay.

The area isn’t really safe at night

The central location of the hotel cannot be overstated; it was perfect for leisurely explorations and soaking in the vibrant life of Mombasa. Coupled with the amiable and helpful nature of the staff, my stay was made both convenient and enjoyable. The personal touch in their service created a homely atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

However, the hotel's simplicity, while charming, also meant that certain amenities were lacking. Those looking for luxury or extensive facilities might find the hotel too basic for their taste. Additionally, the central location, while convenient, did bring with it the hustle and bustle of city life, which could be a bit overwhelming for guests seeking a quiet retreat.

It's okay for transit, very friendly staff

The place is quite old and a bit dirty. Not the same as the photos that are advertised

The staff make this hotel excellent. They are superb and so friendly. Special mention to Liz who was so helpful but the whole team were as well - I just didn’t get all of their names. All of the guys working there were amazing. The guys working in the attached restaurant were also very friendly. The room is a good size and the hotel is well located. It is possible to walk to the old town but take a tuk tuk which are cheap as the Mombasa heat is crazy. Bathroom good as well and the hotel has air con - super important in Mombasa.

Nothing really but as minor comments, there was no mosquito net and whist the Wi-Fi was usually very good, it could sometimes be slow in the evenings.

Some details like a broken tile in the bathroom and when I arrived to the room there was not toilet paper, but as soon as I said it they fixed it.

Breakfast was good and the owner was very kind and always ready to help.

They could improve a little bit on bathroom cleanliness.

The staff at the reception are so caring..i went there feeling unwell and they took care of me very well.The food is just the best.The air conditioner is on another world.The bathtub came in handy given the heat around mombasa.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Rooms are really run down, no warm water, very noisy.

The location of the Hotel is perfect. Near the CBD making accessibility most offices much easier

We saw two rooms, not of them had windows that you could actually close.

The bed was well prepared

The AC didn't work well, No hot shower, and staff are slow to respond to requests

Had cold water, the AC was making noise the whole night, lack of toiletries in the room , almost tripped in the room due to congestion, breakfast doesn't cater for all options paid high amount for zero value
