    • The overwhelming meals and the ever so helpful staff at the reception So professional, helpful and courteous
    • The breakfast : just SO SO

    Cons -

    • The tv isn't smart
    • No vegetable Sala for breakfast.Coffee is not good
    • The hotel was okay, but we were very disappointed to find out that using the pool with our daughter cost over €90 extra. Nowhere during booking was it made clear that the additional charges would be so high, even though they advertise with happy family pool photos. Overall, the hotel was okay, but not worth the money. Next time, we’ll book somewhere else.

Comfortable beds. Great breakfast! Choice of pillow. Little gift bag with a handful of chocolates. Parking from Sunday night until 10am Monday ended up being free with public car park within 50m of hotel.

Our family of 3 generations really enjoyed the overnight stay in Borlänge in Elite hotel - very comfortable beds and great breakfast!

Excellent staff. Excellent breakfast buffet with gluten free and lactose free options.

We booked the Vana spa. The experience was okay. The pool isn't long or deep enough for swimming. There isn't a jacuzzi or bubble pool. There was a bit of black mold near the far end steps of the pool.

    Breakfast. Location.

We had a very unsettling experience during our stay. In the middle of the night, someone from some group knocked aggressively on our door, waking up our whole family and leaving us feeling unsafe. Unfortunately, our room lacked basic security features like a peephole, which made the situation even more stressful. While hotel staff responded, we were unable to sleep afterward and did not feel reassured about our safety. I later contacted the hotel and was offered limited compensation, which did not reflect the seriousness of the incident. This experience did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. This seems to be a popular hotel for group of visitors, so be prepare for things like this. The reception refused to give me a clear guarantee that "this won't happen again" but just said they can try to do some rounds and talk to the group guests. Thus, I cannot recommend it for those seeking a secure and restful stay.

Breakfast was good, but it is unacceptable to have to specify the time of breakfast. It limits your freedom.

    1. Cleanliness. After checking in, they gave us a dirty number from previous visitors.2. Staff. The staff yelled at our children for playing in the hallway. After speaking with the staff, they stated that children are not welcome in this hotel. 3. Check-out.At check-out, they demanded payment for an additional room reservation that we had not booked. If you are faced with the choice of staying or not staying at this hotel, DEFINITELY NO NO NO.I hope that my review helps someone and you don't have to face the problems that my family faced while staying at this hotel.

Good hotel. A very good buffet breakfast. Plenty of choice. Free use of the Gym and a reasonable charge for the spa. Close to the centre of Borlange and just a ten minute walk to the train station.

The spa was very nice, almost nobody there, peaceful and relaxing even if small. The breakfast had a nice variety and fresh. Nice with kettle in the room. Room was ok size and it was quiet as we requested, at the end of the corridor on top floor, no noise from outside or neighbors (and I’m very picky about this). The bed was comfortable.

It was too hot at night and no possibility to adjust temperature. Talked to the staff and they couldn’t do anything about it either. Very bad sleep because of this as needed to get up and open the windows at night to cool it down. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable.

The stuff there are chill and nice. Location is good. 15mins drive to ski resort and really close to other super markets. The breakfast is also quite good.

The daily cleaning is really a bit rugh.

This is our second time staying at Elite Hotel Börlange, as we always visit around this time of year for skiing and to celebrate my husband's birthday.I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire hotel staff - reception, breakfast and restaurant teams, the bartender last night for her customized cocktails, housekeeping, room service, and the spa personnel. Their exceptional service made our stay even more memorable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of everything, with easy access to great restaurants and public transportation conveniently stopping right in front of the hotel. Highly recommended!

The staff were amazing ? We ended up making our booking in two separate stages and the staff sorted it without even being asked, so that we would not have to change rooms mid stay. The breakfast is exceptional for a hotel buffet breakfast. There is a phenomenonal variety of food, all well presented and good quality.

    Nothing!

Hotel interior, room and atmosphere were nice. Breakfast was really good, high quality food, lots of choice.

We’ve chosen this hotel because of the spa to use it after long day of skiing - main picture of the hotel is spa area, name indicates it also. No info about extra charges. BUT we were asked 50 Eur. plus for one person to use the spa. We felt tricked and dissapointed, because we’ve chosen more expensive hotel because of the spa option at first place.

While the hotel has many positives, my experience at breakfast completely ruined my morning. What started as a simple request turned into an unnecessarily frustrating ordeal due to the unprofessionalism of the restaurant staff.I politely asked if I could have sunny side up eggs. The staff member checked with the kitchen, and even one of the kitchen staff came out to confirm that it could be done. As my companions began eating their breakfast, I patiently waited. After 15 minutes, I asked about the status of my eggs and was told they were being prepared. Another 15 minutes passed—now a total of 30 minutes—and everyone else had finished their meal while I was still waiting. When I inquired again, I was abruptly told that they couldn’t make the eggs. I was shocked. Why wasn’t I informed earlier? I could have adjusted my order or moved on, but instead, my time was wasted. When I expressed my frustration, another staff member, "Ebba," emerged from the kitchen. She was unapologetic, dismissive, and outright rude. Her attitude was unacceptable. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused, she placed the blame on me for waiting. To make matters worse, when I requested her name to report the incident, another staff member, "Elvira," refused to provide it. I eventually had to go to the reception and request the manager. Since it was Saturday, the manager was unavailable, but the receptionist assisted me in identifying the staff member, confirming her name as "Ebba."This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for basic customer service is shocking, especially for a hotel of this caliber. Not only was my request mishandled, but the rude attitude of the staff ruined my morning and left me extremely disappointed. Such behavior is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.
