It’s an amazing property near by to nungwi beach and amazing staff with good food

Very clean

Poor quality of the food and service was limited e.g. shower didn’t work properly and they didn’t fix it. They did fix the door that didn’t lock, but would have been nice if they fixed that before our stay.

The staff is very nice. We arrived early in the morning, around 5AM. Normally the check in is at 1PM but the staff was very helpful and the room was ready at 8AM. The resort is nice and peaceful.

The breakfast can be improved.

The pool was not working for the whole stay (3 days) it was green in colour and was being fixed. We were not informed about this when we booked or compensated in any way. The area of the pool was not well maintained, with broken shower and untidy areas. Wifi is very very slow, took me 20 minutes to see a 4 minute video.

The room was large the bed very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. The sea view from the balcony through the trees in the garden was super. And the staff were very helpful.

The hotel prefers that you take half or full board and the variety reflects that. Contrary to other review they do serve alcohol, but stick to the beer as the red wine was undrinkable to me!

What I liked most was that the area was closed and strangers didn't interfere or disturbI also liked the staff, kind people who are always ready to help with a smile. Clean and comfortable rooms. I would be happy to come back again.

Upon checking in to Tanzanite Beach Resort (Unsure if this place deserves the title of resort) we were welcomed by Ester who showed us to our room. It was much smaller than what we’d seen in the photos. But a room nonetheless. Our plan was to explore during the days here anyway.However we realised that the lock on our door was broken. They first said we could go and it would be fixed when we were back. We didn’t want to leave our valuables. So we started to wait. The lock was changed in about 2,5 hours. However this time we couldn’t lock the room from the inside.When we finally spoke to management, I suggested that they should have changed our room to begin and not wasted an entire day with this matter. Since it was too late in the day for us to go anywhere at that point.Plus we hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast. The second room they put us in (I’m guessing was cleaned in a rush.) smelled of toxins not meant for human consumption. We had to air the room and actually wipe the floors with a towel (there is zero exaggeration here).They offered us some fries and a juice to make up for lunch.Dinner was okay. The chef came to our table to ask after the food. What was not okay however is that even water is not included with the meal.Honest opinion, I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me money. There are much nicer “resorts” in Matemwe or Nungwi.

If you are looking for realxing holiday is the best place..5 mins driving to Nungwi main beach and 10 mins driving to kendwa beach, but still Front of the beach, but make sure you have your rock shoes because the hotel beach got some rocks... everyone was very friendly especially Esta and paulina at the resturant they did everything to make sure we are having a good time..

Location is really good, the staff is very friendly and always helping.

The restaurant was a bit slow preparing the food.

Bed was comfortable and big. However, the room did not have any sofa inside the bedroom to rest a bit. Outside chairs were not comfortable. The toilet did not have hands soup. The staff are very nice, in the reception, at the entrance and in the restaurant.

I think the price was to high for the service and type of room. It was not a cheap hotel and it did not have facilities we expected. Moreover, in the pictures the pool seem to be big and it was rather small. Also, to arrive there the road is awful (but maybe that is in all the island), it is better to walk than to go in transport.

Unfortunately this time the tide was high when we were there, lots of wind, so the beach was not very well accessible... Former time it was lots of fun!

Bad

Booked this for my partner Birthday was meant b special occasion but was a let down. We have stayed in 7 other properties on the island and this was the only place that wasn't great. It should be an amazing place but needs money spent on it to maintenance it. Where the breakfast was the ceiling above is all black mould so we cancel breakfast. The room door didn't lock, the electricity went out 40 mins after we checked in, so we had no power the whole afternoon and during the nite. We were told by staff that they couldn't turn on there back up power but only when management was there. When checked out spoke with manager who was just so rude. We will definitely be back to Zanzibar but not this hotel.It priced higher than some of the other hotels in the area which we discovered r paradise compared to here. Big big let don't on r 14 days on the island. Photos r attached

The hotel staff, location and general needs (hotel room, water, cleanliness, etc.) were great. The only thing that I had read on comments before was the food menu which I found to be limiting, however this was also great for us as it pushed us to go explore other restaurants who are in Nungwi and explore more the area.
