The rooms being shared with males, no privacy whatsoever. Imagine having 10 beds in one room with majority being men.

One of the coolest hostels I‘ve ever stayed. There is a good social vibe and a lot of activities that can be organized onsite. They even do pub quizzes. Location is also great, right in the beach and still overlooking Jeffrey’s Bay. Special thanks to Charmaine for taking care of everyone and everything.

Poor maintenance, part of the showerhead was missing, which made it more like a fire hose than a shower. No toilet paper holder and half the towel rack was missing. Funny stuff, the mortise box for the door was the wrong hand. I think if someone pushed on hard enough, it would come open, but the lock worked.

The bed (matress) was very uncomfortable.

We stayed a week and loved our little hut, it had the most amazing view ever. Basic but all you need. The beach kitchen was also working well and the staff was friendly and enthusiastic. It's a bit out of the "centre" but you can easily walk to Jbay surf village or along the beach to the other part of the town.

Some kitchen tools could be renewed or fixed and the bathrooms worked fine, as an improvement just some more little fixing (some more hooks to hang stuff etc)

Views were very impressive.Beach was looking excellent, however could not make use of it due to it lightening and time constraints.

Toilet and Bathrooms could do with a little more cleanliness. There was an awful smell when we closed the bathroom window.

No wifi at twin room. Could install wifi extenders maybe?

My bedroom fan didn’t work and it took 3 days for it to be fixed. Sleeping with the door open meant mozzies came in and ate us alive. But once the fan was fixed, we could sleep with the door closed. Bliss.

The location and spacious social areas are amazing. You are located right at the ocean with access to the beach. Large and secure parking at arrival.The crew is very helpful - it was a short but very pleasant stay.

The coffee could be a little better … but hey no one is perfect.

We ended up coming here last minute and fairly late in the evening after being scammed from another booking. How things work out sometimes. This is a beautifully located hostel. Right on the beach and the Common areas look down the sweeping bay.Dorms were comfortable and clean, food was good. Thanks for having us.

Little lights by each bed in the dorms would be great. Only one main light in the room not so good.

Location, perfect for the surfer, right on the beach.

Security could be an issue, not best part of town. Rooms very small.

The property itself is very beautiful, located right on the beach. It has a bar/restaurant and places to lay down and chill.

To be honest, you don’t feel very safe in the property. There were some very weird guests, molesting other guests, and nobody did anything about that. You would expect a bit more rules and respect for each other.

Its exceptional location at and view on the beach/sea, an outdoor common area which is perfect for relaxing, simple but nice cabins to sleep in again with sea view. Breakfast also simple but good! Offer surfing lessons (Wasseem did a great job, enjoyed it a lot) and sometimes trips to a private Nature Reserve where you can do zip-lining and cliff-jumping (was unfortunately when we wanted to do it, but Silas - who also does free drumming lessons in the evening at the bonfire - gave us a local township-tour instead). We’re spontaneously able to extend out stay because we loved the place so much. Had a family-like braai the last night with staff and other guests.

As mentioned already, the organisation of the Nature Reserve trip was not ideal, it was only cancelled last minute.

Fantastic location with direct access to the beach, friendly staff, great value for money.

The kitchen could use some updated cooking equipment (pots, spatulas) as cooking was quite a challenge with really outdated/used up equipment. The toilet in our private room made noise early in the mornings which disturbed our sleep.
