Swallows Nest Country Cottages

I had bookmarked this property several months before our trip but couldn’t confirm dates. As it happened we managed to book one night and then change rooms for the second night. The host San-Marie was lovely and her hardworking staff were a huge asset to the property. The rooms were immaculate and had everything we needed to hand and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. This property was a perfect place from which to explore Stormsriver.

The breakfast was a bit basic and could have been more varied

We booked for one night and were running late and phoned and asked for a late check - in, they were friendly and accommodating. Everything was neat and clean, with wood for the fireplace supplied. Breakfast was delicious.

There is nothing we did not like, would just recommend a small "work station/top" for preparing food in the unit we stayed in, especially for a longer stay.

Lovely property conveniently located. The beds are comfortable. The cottage was well equipped and designed beautifully. Breakfast was great and all the staff were very kind and accommodating. There’s a pretty small check in time window but we were able to check in late with a fee.

The staff - first of all the booking process was a bit misleading. I selected 3 separated rooms. The system selected too much accommodation - for less accommodation, we would have had 3 actual separated rooms too. Noisy beds. Also the manager is not willing to lower our cleaning fee or breakfast fee. Breakfast was not the greatest and tasted cheap (eggs and bacon).

This felt like Home away from home. It is such a cosy and beautiful place to be, the tranquility and privacy in your own cottage is a cherry on top. Evenings were a bit chilly and the fire ? place made our evenings special ?The staff was so friendly ❤️and they serve fresh and scrumptious breakfast☕️I Definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Tsitsikama in the near future. ???❤️

Very comfortable and clean room in a great location. Close to restaurants and village shops. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly.
