La Cotte Forest Cottages

Amazing place, great service. Only thing important to know since we weren't aware: the testaurant is not open for dinner. We had the impression it was since we were with our baby so we could eat in the restaurant of the estate. But our entire stay was exceptional!

Stunning cottage, gorgeous pool, heavenly surroundings

Not really walkable from the main reception area at night (at least, not with small children), which we hadn’t fully realised.

La Cotte is a beautiful old estate . We had a fabulous time & enjoyed the new coffee shop & bakery immensely

The bedrooms in the Forest Cottages are very small, however we will still return as we loved everything else

We loved our stay at La Cotte, the cottage had everything we needed and had been tastefully decorated. Pool was great and staff very helpful.

These rooms (as opposed to the Orchard cottages) are in need of upgrading. The two bedroom cottage had very small bedrooms with no air con in the bedrooms which made it very hot. The pictures indicate they are individual cottages but they are in fact one long block. There is no lighting at all on the paths/ roads from the main hotel so have to have a car to get to and from even the main hotel. Roads to these cottages are not tarmac so very dusty walk

Such comfortable, amazing cottages. Lovely setting and swimming pool also. Stayed here the night before my wedding and couldn't have been more relaxed!

I‘m Coming back every year. The La Cotte Team is constantly upgrading the interior as well as the facilities (this years new kid on the block; the Mill!Already looking forward to next year!

Wow. We were so lucky to stay here - it was a haven. We had the most beautiful little cottage with a barbecue and it was just the most peaceful experience - exactly what we needed. Also so easy to get into Franschhoek. The restaurant at La Cotte is also magnificent and the staff are brilliant and professional. We were devastated that we only stayed for 2 days and will be back!!

The small bed for 2 adults -140cm is not suitable for 2 tall european adults.

Beautiful and spacious cottage on a stunning property. It was lovely to have use of the pool. Fantastic location within walking distance of Franschhoek town but still feels quiet and remote. Cottage is well equipped with a braai and kitchenware.

It was very hot in the bedrooms at night which made it difficult to sleep. An air conditioning unit in the bedroom would have made our stay much more comfortable.

The orchard cottage was stunning! Beautiful private garden and pool and the room Decoration was exquisite

Lovely cottage within the vineyard. Great terrace where you can enjoy the time and use the swimming pool (if wheather allows). Fully equipped with all you need.

Town is within walking distance but it takes about 15 minutes

Beautiful place for reasonable price

Booked 3 houses for 3 families and there was always one other family in between so it was bit annoying for us as other quests. Would hope it is easy to allocate houses next to each other. But tiny detail, rest was awesome

Breakfast should be included at this price.. at times you could hear the neoghbours moving furniture through the walls..

Good location. Beautiful grounds. Gardeners doing excellent job. Comfortable terrace. Nice shower products.

Grumpy staff at breakfast. Poor chaotic service. Rooms not dirty but felt a bit worn out. Cold uncomfortable loft spaces. Poor insulation. Mainly suited to families seeking space to be surrounded by other families.

Such gorgeous spaces- beautiful rooms, lovely facilities, amazing restaurant. Absolutely will be back!

BRILLIANT LOCATION, STAFF, VIEW AND VALUE FOR MONEY!

Close to the town, and the gardens and setting is beautiful

The crockery was chipped, the towels and dishcloths were torn. The chairs were old and not very stable, the built in benches were uncomfortable

Excellent service from the reception staff. Helped on a Saturday night with some extra amenities. It was the way in which they did it that stood out. Small gestures can make such a difference!Beautiful and well-equipped unit. I prefer the Orchard cottages over the Forest cottages.Lunch at the hotel was a great idea - lovely setting.

Would have loved an electric blanket on a cold winter's night.
