    Pros +

    • The suites have gorgeous view of the mountains, very modern, spacious, well equipped, a bathtub with a view too. Breakfast was perfect. Lots of complementary items. A proper treat despite the price being on the high side for SA. Fantastic staff and service too.
    • Views and staff were amazing.Great location and winary. Accommodations were top shelf
    • The cottage was fabulous including a plunge pool and magnificent views of the vineyardsThe staff was very attentive and helpful. The reservations manager was very welcoming and he even walked us to town thru a nice path crossing the vineyards..

    Cons -

    • I had loved for the plunge pool to be temperate / heated. It was too cold to use outside the summer season.
    • Zero communication from the property prior to arrival which meant we weren’t informed of the complimentary wine tasting or the afternoon tea in the garden (both happen on the day of arrival). We arrived too late and basically used this beautiful property as a bed and breakfast. Such a shame.
    • The bed was quite soft and I prefer firmer mattresses, but that is a personal preference.

The staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. They are well trained. The view was outstanding, and the environment inside and outside the room brought about peaceful serenity..

Amazing views with a private pool for each one of the Vineyard cottages. Great breakfast, included. What more do you want?

The bed was quite soft and I prefer firmer mattresses, but that is a personal preference.

La petite ferme is a little bit of heaven. The staff are so lovely, the room was beautiful and the view was absolutely stunning.

The rooms are fantastic, restaurant outstanding and service always first class.

I’m a returning customer and it never seems to count for much.

    10MaoPosted on: 3-23-2025

Tasting menu was amazing and the view is absolutely wonderful

Service was sometimes not great. At the restaurant a few waiter/waitress were slightly hands off or not attentive enough. (Drink came later than the first dish). Also the wine tasting staff was not friendly and rushed us through speaking so fast

The location, the cleanliness, the food was out of this world

I think the bathrooms need to be rearranged a bit as the toilet cannot be open to the room

The view, room and the food were fabulous

    Can’t think of anything

Breakfast was great, but unfortunately dinner was over priced and not the best (we only ordered 2 starters)

Our experience at La Petite Ferme in Franschhoek was nothing short of outstanding. The breathtaking views surpassed even the most stunning pictures we had seen beforehand. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth, professionalism, and seamless communication. We requested something at reception, and by the time we reached the restaurant, the team there was already aware and ready to assist which is an impressive level of coordination. Our room was spotless and serviced twice daily. In the morning, our bed was made after we got up, and in the evening, it was perfectly prepared for a restful night’s sleep. This thoughtful touch added to the sense of luxury.A special mention goes to Johan, who truly elevated our stay. He recommended fantastic wineries and restaurants, planning a personalised itinerary that far exceeded anything we could have found online. The restaurant staff were equally remarkable. Their attention to detail and efficiency ensured every meal was a pleasure.Overall, our time at La Petite Ferme was unforgettable, and we wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful retreat to anyone visiting Franschhoek.

Stunning location, excellent and helpful staff who made great recommendations of wineries to visit and local restaurants etc. we will definitely go back.

The restaurant menu was not very inspiring and was the same every day so one dinner there was enough.

Absolutely loved it! We had a suite in the manor and our son had a suite in winery wing. We thoroughly loved it.Best views of Franschhoek with some of the nicest, thoroughly professional hotel and ground staff we’d had the distinct pleasure of meeting during our 2-week’s stay in Cape Town.

    Absolutely not a single thing.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location with the best view in the area. The rooms are spacious and the staff are superb.
