In general, they had friendly staff.

Throughout our stay, the hot water in the room was consistently discoloured (dark yellow/brown, resembling rust) from all taps, including the shower, sink, and bathtub, posing a clear hygiene and health concern. Although we complained to reception on the first day and maintenance attended, the issue was only temporarily “fixed” and repeatedly returned, including on the final night and morning, leaving the room unusable for normal bathing. No effective solution, room change, or alternative was offered by the hotel at any point until the last day. Being forced to shower, wash, and brush our teeth with visibly dirty water completely ruined the stay and was unacceptable for a property advertised as a luxury 4-star hotel.

Spacious and clean. Very well appointed.

There were a lot of steps to the property which was not a problem for us but might be a challenge for the less able.

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds and we'll equiped. Lovely views and peaceful

The location was excellent.. the staff Sean was very helpful.. they set up the fireplace for us which kept us nice and warm

Due to the rains and some maintenance work by the municipality the water was a bit muddy like... The staff tried to help..but this was something they couldn't fix..

We wanted to book in 14h however room was not ready, with a bad odour present in room. The curtains were torn, dirty and creased. The carpet was dirty and replacement well overdue. Chandelier has various different bulbs. Cracks on patio and not level. Looked out into unfinished and green pool of unit next door. First told of special for Dinner and then told Dinner no longer being served that night. For "Honeymoon suite" we were VERY disappointed.

Clean, spacious, exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Great property, breakfast was very peaceful overlooking the lake and our unit was very well equipped.

Not specific to this property but more general to accommodation in Franschhoek - the prices are unreasonable and I do not believe they are justified

Villa was clean and beautiful.

The communal pool needs upgrading esp in Dec when we were experiencing 42degrees. Not cool to swim in a fountain. Breakfast was below average and strangely positioned in the middle of the walk area.

Beautiful setting, 10 minutes off the main strip. Less central than other places so good if you're looking for a quieter location. Honeymoon suite was grand with a gorgeous bathroom and 180 view of the lake and mountains behind it. The staff were friendly and helpful and helped us organise massages for during our stay.Breakfast and dinner were good but not exceptional. There's also a really sweet little swimming pool to relax in.

One thing I would like to mention is that in our suite one of the windows looks directly over the shower in the en-suite, on checking from outside it was apparent that you could see through it. This was our children’s bedroom, we made sure they did not shower in here but obviously this is a concern

The location and the venue was great.

We stayed at places which cost a fraction of this price and they included more amenities. I recently stayed at a guest house in Jeffreys bay at R800 which I enjoyed very much. Your venue who was 4 times that price, but I did not get four times that value.

Lovely location, the villa that we stayed in was superb…lovely size rooms with a fantastic outside area, overlooking the lake and with a great view of the mountains. The breakfast selection was very good.

Unfortunately, there was a large amount of maintenance work going on so there was quite a lot of building noise over the couple of days that we were there. We were quite surprised this was taking place in the middle of high season. The pool was very small for the amount of villas on the site.

Rooms were comfortable and well provided. The place is generally quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, which is very good

There could have been one or more coffee tables in the lounge, to make it easier to sit and enjoy drinks in the evening. The streaming to watch TV was also not that good. DSTV would be better, as channel shifting was often quite challenging The most uncomfortable aspect relates to our experience in the breakfast room. Having to repeat our villa number (56) to no fewer than 3 different waiters was not a happy experience. It left one wondering whether the hotel sometimes encounters 'non-paying' guests in for breakfast, and whether we had been mistakenly fallen under suspicion - not a good feeling at all. If verification has to be done, it could be more discreet. Furthermore, on day 2, the service at breakfast was quite poor.

Beautiful views. Balcony. Kitchen. Great bathroom and comfy bed. Nice bedding. . Close to LaPetite Femme and Haute Cabrier. Lovely Breakfast

Not within walking distance of Main RdGuard against building too many Units on top of each other and turning it into a commercial property..

Breakfast ok. Great choice of food but hot food buffet was more like lukewarm food buffet. Superb location.

Hotter food. Fountain in swimming pool not working.

Breakfast, Staff, Location, Room seize, Value for money, tranquility - all excellent. Highly recommended.
