Staff were extra friendly and attentive. Nice room. Food in the Gourmet restaurant was lovely and a special thanks to Mndai (sorry for the spelling) for his excellent service.

Liked the stunning balcony views and lovely hotel pool.

Lack of attention to detail.Reception difficult to contact. No guidance from the hotel, history or map to facilitate full use of recreational options.Self catering unit very basic.

The setting was exceptional, the rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Our only regret is not staying there for more days just to enjoy the facilities.

We had dinner at the hotel the first night, and the service was really slow.

Absolutely stunning hotel and the location is exceptional, situated a 5 minute cab ride from the centre of town. They have a hotel shuttle (always available at no cost) which can take you and pick you up from town or vineyard. The facilities are amazing, and the breakfast was a feast!

    Nothing - perfection!

Very spacious hotel with beautiful gardens in magnificent countryside just outside Franschoek centre. Efficient on-demand hotel shuttle to and from town, lovely pool and excellent breakfast.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, and the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations in every way. Our villa was incredibly spacious, and we were fortunate to have two rooms—perfect for ensuring a restful night’s sleep, especially since my husband snores! The food was absolutely sublime. Breakfast was a particular highlight—we highly recommend the Morgan Stack! We also had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant, Sauvage, where the exquisite cuisine truly impressed us.The hotel made our honeymoon extra special with thoughtful personal touches, including a beautifully handwritten card. These little details meant so much to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.

    Nothing - everything was perfect!

Swimming pool - reception staff - waiters

I'll try and keep it short. My husband died in Septembet last year, so I decided to spoil myself for Valrntines.I booked a room....then went to book dinner at the restsurant..the menu looked divine! When I got to the prepayment it stated dinner for 2 and the price.I wrote to the hotel explaining that I was on my own ( I didn't want to use the sympathy card, didnt think itwas necessary). They said they would talk to the manager....cane back with " you can have dinner at the Terrace attached is the menu"......from fois gras to pizza or a Spur style menu. When I checked in I asked again and said I don't mind where the meal is served but I want the Valentines dinner. No go....my meal was dreadful....I left the starter and main...nibbled on the cheese platter...I am still so cross.....surely a plan could have been made! I find it grossly discriminatory!! When I tried to book on the 7th there was availability.I went to the restaurant after my dreadful meal and asked for the Manager.Holly, the restaurant manager had no idea....no-one had come to her...she was appalled....I really will not support somewhere where the management just don't care! The room was okay and the pool area was good...the gardens lovely....but lots of stairs.I booked a Spa treatment and that was great, but sorry, I won't t be back to the hotel and will spread my disgust far and wide.

The breakfast is exceptional, and my wife and I will always return for this. location is perfect.

The TV and DSTV reception were terrible in Villa 78. I did not expect this from a 4-star hotel, and it will definitely discourage guests staying over at the hotel for longer periods.

Literally everything. The breakfast was incredible with a wide selection and mimosas. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff are so polite and welcoming. Highly recommend! Was worth every penny.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful property, beds and bedding really high quality

My first night of a 2 night stay, was booked into a room above the kitchens of the hotel. Needless to say, it was a late night and early morning start when I had booked myself a weekend away to rest & recharge. It pretty much ruined my experience and for the cost of a room in this luxury hotel, absolutely NO ROOM should be placed above the kitchen, period.

Lovely location Comfy beds Restaurant staff are friendly

Food was awfulLong wait for dinnerDidn’t get our personal al requests correct No water pressure in room 2, couldn’t wash my long hair Very impersonal

Breakfast was excellent and some of the staff very good

Tennis racquets were very poor quality (like no strapping on the handle and a choice of kids sizes)Maintenance of rooms was poor - door handles broken, broken tiles in bathroomEnsuite to master in the 2 bed lodge was ridiculous small and you had to step over the toilet to get in the shower

Exceptional breakfast and very friendly and great staff

Rooms quite cold and could have had a hot water bottle or electric blanketMenu needs a few more simply options - sandwiches, burger etc since we had had a large lunch and wanted a simple evening bite

Wonderful setting and excellent staff. Amazing breakfast.
