The hotel is just 5 minutes drive from the airport, which is perfect for layover overnight stays. Free airport shuttle. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast with strong coffee and fresh fruit is included.

The pool experience was amazing. The restaurant offered many options with great seafood dishes as well as more traditional foods. You wake up in paradise with hundreds of birds singing to you. Amazing landscape, beautiful flowers. A shuttle is available

The Sun Hotel is the obvious choice for anyone who is flying into Bolivia and then taking a domestic flight. The Shuttle is very efficient and the Hotel is immaculately clean and maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the Pool is EPIC! Wow!I'll definitely stay again as needed.

Great location, although the 5 minute taxi ride to the terminal costs 60Bs so be aware if you need to get to the airport at an odd time not served by the shuttle that leaves only every other hour in the middle of the night. Friendly staff.

Minimal toiletries - plain shampoo only (no conditioner or lotion). Sheets were clean, but had some marks and bugs (they were likely dried outside). Everything is very old - old aircon system, old TV, old furniture, old bathroom- and the ventilation/pipes make odd noises all night. Hardly anyone around - vast empty spaces sparsely furnished in Russia-adjacent taste from the late 1990s - would be perfect venue for a zombie apocalypse.

The Hotel is kept exceptionally clean. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was varied and delicious. Airport transfers were convenient.

I was leaving the country and it was very convenient to be just across from the airport. Check in and check out were very quick that I really liked

We hadn't brought any snacks or drinks and the mini fridge in the hotel was completely empty. I always appreciate if there's something in the room to grab a bite or quench a thirst

Close to the airport

The Hotel said free transfers to and from the airport; however, the transfers to the airport are at random 2 hour intervals and the hotel wouldn’t go off schedule (despite the hotel being near empty) so we had to Uber (the concierge wouldn’t help arrange a taxi). Breakfast was due to be open from 6am but none of the fresh or hot food arrived until 7am when we had to leave. The transfer driver and concierge were rude and unhelpful. If considering this hotel for its proximity to the airport, free transfers and breakfast then I would not recommend it as it’s very over priced when considering the above.

The proximity to the airport is great. And the free shuttle to and from the airport is invaluable. When I exited baggage claim their driver was standing there waiting for me with my name on a placard. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

The room is exceptionally large and very comfortable. They need to work on some mildew removal in the bathtub/shower.

The hotel is located just 5-10 minutes from the Santa Cruz de la Sierra international airport, making it a convenient place to overnight as we entered the country and before departing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the free transfers were reliable on the the four occasions that we used them. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious.

The infrastructure and facilities are large and you could see what was once grandeur, but it needs some investment in updating.

Sun Hotel was very clean, with comfortable beds, and a yummy breakfast. It was nice and close to the airport. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful place...if i could have seen it

The young man who greeted me at the door was haughty and did not allow me in. I understand the privacy policy but he went beyond that. I was planning on holding two events there and have been visiting this place for years....as a lodging guest and as a guest at the restaurant. I just wrote my husband, my son and my daughter informing them NO family events will be held there and I will NEVER go there again. There is a very polite way to deny entrance and then there is a way that makes it clear one is not worthy of them. I am livid.

They offered a free airport transfer but did not show up. My flight was delayed,, but I messaged them, they said they would monitor the flight and meet me. But they didn't!

The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice, the rooms are very quiet, clean and spacious. The food from the restaurant was excellent.

The jacuzzi was not very warm and the steam room not very clean or hot enough

Breakfast was just ok, as it was very basic. Would have been nice, if eggs would have been offered.

oh well, where to start?No answers via booking and WhatsApp concerning the airport pick up after writing several times. Only automatic responses. I then finally reached somebody on the phone after we landed only to be put down again as the colleague at the reception did not speak English. I then called again and finally a pick up was sent. The rooms are not clean. Hair and dust is flying around the room, empty packet of soap was in the bathroom and windows as well as mirrors have stains all over the place. The whole room is worn down with broken furniture. Bathroom appliances are dirty and calcified so that no proper water flow is running. The pool is a disgrace as well. Covered in leaves and dead bugs, broken tiles which is really dangerous and floating empty plastic cups. We went into the city in the evening and called a taxi at the reception. We were told a price and then went into the taxi. While driving I confirmed the price with the driver who suddenly talked about a different price. He then called the reception to confirm and the lady said the price of the driver. Customer Scam at its best. PLEASE stay away from this hotel. We booked it only at the end of our vacation as we arrived from La Paz and had one night before leaving the country. Just book a good hotel in the city and take the extra 20 minutes drive.

Close to airport, free pickup and drop off. Large room, good shower. Nice breakfast.

Guests at pool were a bit loud, late at night. So maybe ask for a room not overlooking the pool if you want some sleep.

I had a late flight and they let me check out later. The swimming pool was so beautiful, I wish I could have swum more there.

Loved the swimming pool, huge bedroom and bed- also very comfortable. Good location for the airport. Restaurant food was fine and breakfast was good. Also great to have a gym to use!

My biggest complaint is the lack of sun loungers. Many people were having to share or use regular chairs. We were very lucky after waiting for a while we managed to get two. Really needs to be enough for everyone to sit next to the lovely pool. The room was not completely clean, with some dust and hair on the floor in places. The whole place needs a bit of updating.The food/drink service around the pool and in the restaurant was extremely slow. It felt like there were not enough waiting staff, only one or two for the whole place, I felt sorry for them. Food and drink orders took a very long time.There was some confusion with the shuttle picking us up, we couldn't get hold of the hotel. We told them our arrival time but no communication on that day, I ended up having to wave the shuttle bus down when it was dropping other guests off. Going back to the airport was fine.

Breakfast and meals in general were great

Most staff do not speak any English and we spoke very little Spanish so communication could be difficult. The staff were excellent though and we laughed a lot. On our arrival night in Bolivia we were asked to pay in cash in USD rather than by credit or debit card which caused a lot of issues for the rest of the trip. I don’t mind paying cash as long as I know in advance. Overall it was a great hotel, just a few niggles that need ironing out
