Everything -the space was very cutesy and demure ,quite good wifi coverage ,safe and quite environment ..everything truly exceeded my expectations

Nothing-absolutely nothing

During my recent visit to Avondale Hotel, I had the pleasure of experiencing a truly delightful stay. Though it was only for one night, the quality of service and the comfort of the accommodations left a lasting impression. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who exemplified the essence of hospitality. Her warm demeanor and prompt assistance with my additional requests were commendable, making the check-in process swift and pleasant. The room itself was a haven of cleanliness and comfort. Every detail, from the crisp linens to the immaculate bathroom, reflected the hotel's dedication to providing a pristine environment for its guests. I felt an immediate sense of relaxation as I settled into my room, which was both stylishly furnished and thoughtfully appointed.

I understand that the hotel is currently undergoing some work, which is understandable. However, I noticed that breakfast is not being served at the moment. Introducing breakfast services again in the future would be a significant improvement. Many travelers appreciate the convenience of having a meal available to start their day, and it would certainly add to the overall appeal of your hotel. Additionally, I would suggest having a visible security presence at the gate. A security guard stationed at the entrance would not only provide a sense of safety and reassurance for your guests but also enhance the overall security of the premises.

Loved the check in process was amazing Only issue being the reception is. Wry close to a few rooms and the noise from staff conversations was a sleep killerOutside that, lovely location and amazing help from the reception team

The showers seems to leak down some seals in room 1/2&3The toilet lever in room one needs attention

Rooms were nice size and loved the air con.

Breakfast was advertised and I still did not receive feedback about why we did not receive breakfast.

stay was good, place still need a little bit of TLC ( room phones screen stay on all the time and is really disturbing at night, phone time are totally off). DSTV only offers the advert channel on every channel number. overall i would say a 8 out of 10

I liked the room, it was beautiful.

The location was a bit far from certain amenities e.g. malls, restuarants and shops and it's close to a park with homeless people ( bit scary if you want to walk somewhere).

Friendly staff !

No Dstv. No offer of a decent coffee in the morning, especially since the restaurant was closed

Rooms and Bathrooms were great ?, beds were very comfortable and the location was spot on.

Location was good. Well appointed. Spacious room and bathroom.

Very noisy vent in the bathroom. Amenities weren’t restocked daily unless requested. Small things like tea bags and milk, would just make it more comfortable if they could keep those stocked each day without having to request.

Males must not sleep on the same bed.Some rooms to have single beds. Microwaves required per room.

It was close to all the destinations in Durban, the staff was very friendly and rooms are spacious really enjoyed the bathroom. I can’t wait to try out their restaurant when reconstruction is done next time I visit Durban.

Sheets could be cleaner and smell better.

Linen and towels were of high quality

No restaurant, no breakfast, no shelves or drawers for clothing only hanging space. No shelf in bathroom for toiletries. Key card needed to be coded every day as it did not work. Noisy and able to hear guests above walking in their room.

Avondale boutique hotel is a good basic stop over type of hotel. Beautiful rooms comfortable bathrooms. Basic amenities found in the room. Friendly staff. With regards to meals and breakfast dnt expect anything to fancy. Its not ready and available for you. It takes the staff forever to prepare anything you ask for. If you are in a hurry make sure you give them your order an hr or two earlier. Kitchen staff are very slow. Tea took 20 mins to come. Parking is excellent. Make sure you ask for the porter service to take you upstairs. With our booking we had massages which we didn't know about and no one informed us of it while we stayed there so we never got any treatments done. The staff should have informed us so we knew we could have those massages. Check while you there because staff dnt let you know. A good stay good location.

Breakfast and lunch options. Friday lunch could be more traditional menu rather than wraps. Staff can be more efficient and fast with breakfast. Have the buffet ready.

Sink in bathroom absolutely small. Carpets in room, needs to be vacuumed daily. Linen change daily.

They don't have muesli,decaf,garlic and Chilli

Soulless. Felt like it was run by people who’d read book about a hotel but never been in one. Was more like a dorm room.Two tables but only one chair in the (king sized) bedroom.In addition, in the evening they told us they could do a packed breakfast (since we had an early start). Confirmed this with the reception person, who said they were open 24 hours and in the restaurant. In the morning the kitchen was empty and the person at reception said the chef never gets there at that time (05h30) and the kitchen was empty.

Excellent location. New staff at restaurant, however coped well. Very helpful.

I love this place - it's my go to place when I am in Durban. Staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and very comfortable and food is great.

My only concern is when you are travelling on your own the pricing is for two people sharing and this includes the breakfast component x2 even though you are booked as an individual. Essentially you are paying for breakfast that you won't eat because you are 1.

Avondale Boutique Hotel is so beautiful and very very clean. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at Dinner was amazing every dish they served was well prepared and tasted so good. The room was super comfy, I felt so relaxed and on top of the world.I actually want to go back very soon.
