Palazzo Hotel

The Palazzo never disappoints. This is our 2nd time staying, and everything was amazing. The staff was great, and the property is beautiful. It's in a great location with so many dining options and very close to the Fourways Mall.

The staff were friendly, and the location is excellent — close to the casino and the bird park, with Fourways Mall nearby as well if you want to do some shopping.

The standard has noticeably declined — the welcome on arrival was really underwhelming. There were no welcome drinks, no cold towels, and no room drops. Even the breakfast spread feels reduced. Overall, it just doesn’t match the 5-star Palazzo experience I remember.

It was a short stay but very good location

The rooms are not well looked after. The initial room had a musky/mouldy smell. We had to change rooms. The carpets also need cleaning.

Central location, good security. Food was good as well as service. Rooms were always clean and neat

Room service, like getting the right coffee etc…was a problem most days - 2 days only decaf coffee, had to call and ask twice. Check out was a mess, took like half an hour - issue with credit card and terminals on deposit paid and final bill.

They need a better bar. n actual distinct bar. The current bar in terms of where it is, size, etc seems like an afterthought when the hotel was being designed and constructed. A nice intimate, cozy bar would be great and not a clinical drinking shop which it is atm. It is frankly unappealing why is probably it is almost always devoid of customers who go elsewhere.

Booked a superior king room and received a standard room. Made it clear that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, not so much as a congrats from anyone. Was therefore disappointed.

The Room was pokey and outdated - especially for the price. The Bed was awful and we kept hurting ourselves on the frame that was huge for the tiny room. The Aircon didn't work and it was so uncomfortable.

Awesome property location and the foyer and surrounding area is stunning

The rooms a dated and smelt a little musty.

The style. The attention to detail. The dedicated staff all speaks volumes for this excellent hotel.

The air-conditioning in the room was a little loud if being very very pernickety!

What a stunning hotel. Beautiful decor, excellant service and fabulous food. Even shared lunch with the Peacocks.

Friendly welcome by reception staff. Breakfast was good Buffet with good selection of cold and warm foods. Also possibility to order something else from a menu. Conveniently close to all the activities, shows and restaurants at Monte Casino.Rooms and especially the bathroom need a revamp. Granite in bathroom stil beautiful but bath is very small and old, shower and floor tiles also very old. Rooms are too pricey and a bit of a let down .Our one towel had a huge red orange suspicious looking stain on it. How does Housekeeping miss something like that?

We booked a smoke free room, room smell like smoke.The kettle in the room was so dirty and full of leaves, that had a very bad odour.

The staff were pleasant and were accommodating

Labelling that hotel as extremely dated is an absolute understatement - everything creaks. In the room, there was a cabinet which honestly needs to be thrown in the bin, makes you feel as if there is a hidden camera in there not to mention overly chunky taking up a lot of the limited square footage. The higher ups who own this place really and truly need to allocate budget for a refurb because it doesn’t give grandeur AT ALL. I really feel sorry for the staff on the ground trying their all to give life to a hotel who hasn’t seen any life for clearly a very long time. How sad. If you have the amount of money needed to stay here… you would be better off staying elsewhere. You think you’re going for a getaway instead it’s an outdated dungeon unfortunately. Although the little courtyard outside looks nice but sadly that’s it.

Indeed a full varied breakfast, but the scrambled eggs were probably pre-mixed goop; too much grease...

Safe location, close to a lot of restaurants in the casino. Breakfast very good, and hotel staff attentive and efficient. Nice hotel for celebrating a special occasion.

The cleaning trollies are damaging the beautiful wallpaper in the hallways which gives a dated and uncared for feeling. We were also not comfortable with the spa services operating from a canopy closed with curtains, at the swimming pool. For the price, we expected better, at least a dedicated spa area in a building. We cancelled our reservations for 2 massages due to this reason.
