HYDE JOHANNESBURG ROSEBANK

Fabulous customer service and a wonderful dining experience. The hotel staff placed a slice of birthday cake in our room upon check-in as my companion had just celebrated her birthday.

Best location and breakfast

There is always some sort of daytime construction noise coming from within the building on various renovations. The shared elevators can cause delays. The keyed elevator gate needs to go.

Exceptional service, wonderful location, their restaurant, Proud Mary, was fantastic! Great breakfast and dinner there. Right on the edge of an upscale, uplifting mall (try Wedgwood ice cream and candy.) Could’ve stayed anywhere but didn’t want isolation. Hyde is fun, pretty, modern. Fantastic and genuine staff ready to help, everyone seemed to love working there, and I don’t blame them. Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved the warmth and hospitality of the staff at Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank. I have not stopped thinking about the kindness that was extended to me during my short stay. Utmost gratitude to the front desk/reservation desk team and the guest relations manager; they made me feel at home. I was even given a complimentary voucher for their tasting room and enjoyed a cognac flight tasting which was also facilitated by an exceptionally warm member of the team. The location of the hotel is also prime and I will surely stay there again when I return to the city of gold.

The property was located in an awesome safe spot safe walking distance to lots of beautiful restaurants. The staff were all absolutely amazing. Went out of their way to make sure everything was ok for us.

Amazing stay!!!!Safe neighborhood, plenty of staff who can help you get ubers, go to ATM, and help you around. The facility is also very nice, rooms were up to date, and breakfast was also excellent.If I am ever back in Jo burg I would definitely stay here.

The location is amazing, in the heart of Rosebank and allows you a sense of security with the malls complex. We were in an incredible room and breakfast everyday in Rosemary, an incredible restaurant located in the entrance of the hotel.

Honestly, there is nothing to complain, air conditioning was not that powerful but we were in winter time.

A well positioned hotel close to shops, restaurants and bars. The hotels restaurant - Proud Mary, is very good and always has a good vibe!

The driver that the Hyde set up for us was not at the airport when we arrived. We had to wait 40 minutes for him to show up! I was with a client, and looked incompetent, this was after reconfirming with Hyde that morning, that a driver would be waiting on us.

The staff was friendly and welcoming and the room service food was good.

Cold water. Evening and morning no hot water in either of the two rooms rented. The bed edges were worn out meaning there is hump in the middle of the bed. Why only provide 1 bottle of water when the room occupies 2?

A well positioned hotel, with an excellent on-site restaurant. A variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room size is good with comfortable beds.

Location was excellent. Close to all amenities including restaurants, shops, train station, malls.

The bathroom in the family room (platinum double room) needs to have more shelf space, hanging hooks, another sink… to cater better for a family.There is no swimming pool as well.

Great spot for a visit to Joburg. I loved that it was so close to Rosebank Mall - I felt safe walking around and it had great access to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is fun, beautiful interiors and the atmosphere is great. Staff were helpful and kind and the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was delish. I'll be back again if I go to Joburg.

I would have loved a later checkout.

Great experience- friendly professional warm staff when I checked in. Unfortunately very different staff experience when I checked out at front desk. Bad attitude- in fact definitely selective. Treated foreign staff much friendlier and professional but attitude with me (South African). But rest of staff across the hotel- coffee bar, resturuant- excellent. But front office is your 1st touch point with hotel so I was dissapointed. She almost spoiled the experience for me. Training needed. But the rest of my experience was at such a high level and deserve to be mentioned and highlightedThe rooms are beautiful- my colleagues agreed! One of the best fiited interiors i have experienced in a long while. Stylish, interesting- loved it. And the Food ????????.

The Hotel is lovely in General - great location in RoseBank, very good restaurant, Stuff that is there and wants to help

The maintanance is Awful!in the Gym - treamill are not 100%, the Cycling bike are broke and can't be usedand to top it all - they had a technical issue with access keys for 4 days(!!) during which - you could not use the elevator on your own, or access your room without a stuff member to open your door for you, so i could not use anything!high price, very low outcome.

Very clean et well located near Rosebank Mall.Proud mary restaurant also good.Big room, confy bed. Fast Check In.

AC blowing but not cooling, rooms a bit aged, requiring some revamp/upgrade.
