Courtyard Hotel Rosebank

I had previously stayed at this hotel 3 times, unfortunately I was robbed by an employee. My personal belongings of small LED lights were taking from my room. THE MANAGER REFUSED TO TALK WITH ME. 3 times before this incident my stay was fine,THEFT occurr

I'm an American, Courtyard Rosebank hotel has an ILLEGAL US Federal Government MILITARY vehicle for sale. I told the staff at the front desk. The US Federal government never sells its military vehicles to private sellers. THE MANAGER IGNORED ME !

Location was great. the staff are awesome (a little noisy too early , as we were on holiday) . but extremely accomodationg, pleasant and friendly.

Convenient location.Pleasant staff.Attractive layout -- rooms and courtyards

At first they couldn't get a card-key that worked on my door. My room was a long way from the reception and at night the lighting between the reception and my room was very dim, making the walk precarious. When I ordered room service, although only a sandwich, it took a long time to come, and when it finally arrived it was the wrong sandwich, but I accepted it rather than reorder.

A nice room with a kitchenette. Comfortable bed and good linens. Good WiFi and a good breakfast room. The Rosebank mall is right across the street for shopping and restaurants.

We didn’t like the bathtub.

Position suited us, rooms were spacious and sunny with extra facilities, reception pool and hospitality staff were great and security staff were always helpful and polite.

Option of smaller breakfast

Excellent location. Very quiet. Good value for money. Beautifully kept garden.

Unsmiling receptionists. We needed a acissors in the kitchen.

Great location, nice big room, friendly staff

Clean overall, friendly, professional and supportive staff.

Very limited TV channels

Location- helpful & friendly reception staff - comfortable well equipped room

Air con - takes awhile to have an effect but did get there eventually - but noisy- needs upgrading

The location in central Rosebank and opposite the mall and restaurants

Apart from being aged, nothing in the room worked (airconditioner, remote for the TV, coffee machine, etc.). During water outages (which I understand the hotel cannot help), one would expect the hotel to provide more than the regular 300ml bottle water in the fridge.

We had a spacious room on the ground floor facing a courtyard with a garden. We had a kitchenette and a table, aside from a desk. Breakfast was served in a separate room facing the bigger courtyard garden. The hotel had a home-like atmosphere and was very comfortable. Wifi was great!

The airconditioners were a bit temperamental and difficult to control with the remote. The rooms were comfortable but could do with a bit more maintenance (soap holder was missing, etc.)

The location is great... Especially the mall across the road.

The cleaning staff needs to do better... The mats should be vacuumed regularly... I was there for three days and wasn't done... not even once... The beds are a bit hard but not bad.

Room spacious

A little disappointed’ booked on booking.com app showed free breakfast and yet I was made toPay for breakfast .Aircon not working

Staff excellent, aircon only in the lounge in the 2 bedroom suite and did not work well. Advertised as 2 bedroom 2 bathroom but room 1 has only 1 bathroom.

No aircon, there was only 1 bathroom

Location

They changed my booking and downgrade my room, I booked bigger room but they give us smaller room

Excellent location and good value for money. Friendly, helpful staff and security. Comfortable and convenient. Great access to vast array of shopping, wining and dining options the best Rosebank/Johannesburg has to offer - all within a quick and safe 5 - 10 minute walk

Hotel has dated somewhat and rooms could definitely be updated. Doesn't meet standard one comes to expect from a 4-star hotel. Fridge not working. Old dated TV's. Air-conditioner not working. Shower soap dish broken. No provision for powering mobile devices - no USB power points or 2-prong adapters unless one uses shaver point in bathroom.

Passable

Booking.com scammed me of a reservation at this property, i made booking via thier site and the accommodation said they did not find it on their sytem.Booking.com is fraud they have refused to refund my moneyAvoid! Avoid! Booking.com at all cost, they are frauds

Breakfast and bedding were excellent

The fridge needed to be defrosted

Nice and big roomBeautiful gardens Nice and central locationDecent breakfast

Loved the location. Being across the street from the Rosebank Mall was fantastic for shopping and restaurants and nightlife.

The aircon in our room wouldn’t stay on long enough to cool the room down, so it was hot and humid and we couldn’t get our sliding door to open either for any air to come in.
