Cons -
- Food breakfast really not up to standard very poor quality and not alot for vegetarians. Appearance dirty and cutlery dirty really untidy and unclean ad breakfast area service very slow expected a higher quality of food was not happy did not eat on day 2
- Staff and service. Generally rude and inviting, which is surprising. Very standoffish. Also the open-plan bathrooms. Not a fan of hotel where the toilet is a couple of feet away from the bed with no door, so would have preferred an option of rooms.
- AC in the room had to be turned on constantly to avoid smell coming from the shower

Staffs are great and welcoming
AC in the room had to be turned on constantly to avoid smell coming from the shower
It was family friendly but they need to work on the few things I mentioned above
Guest didn’t have a sitting area to seat relax and drink The pool area had restrictions Breakfast was served in the boardroom on Christmas Day and Boxing Day it was not comfortable Still on breakfast the sausage were rare to find everyday they would say there are finished
Location adjacent to Mandela Square and it's restaurants was perfect.
Room had discarded papers and food behind the curtain/refrigerator.Breakfast buffet was a 'bum fight' to get any food. Poor layout of location of food.
Very clean and many options at breakfast
Far from the airport
Proximity with Sandton Mall
The staffs attitude and the cleaning of the room.
It’s very nice, black and white is always classy to me
I made a payment with a credit card and they told me it didn’t go through!
Below average
Only checked in at 15.00 hrs and was rudely reminded to check out by 12.00 noon from a black male at reception
location was great
When I enquired whether the hotel offered halaal food through booking.com I was informed it was halaal friendly but when I got to the hotel I was told that it was not.
The location was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and the service was good. Most of the staff were attentive.
Good location and very clean. SOME staff were extremely helpful and friendly, while others not so much.
I was extremely underwhelmed with this hotel and will say that it is certainly not worth the rates they charge. Apart from the location and look, it is far from luxury. This is a standard hotel at best and you get the same experience staying at a City Lodge or Holiday Inn, which is not a bad thing but considering executive prices you pay, it is very disappointing. If you're just looking for a place to shower and sleep, your money would be better spent at a City Lodge or Holiday Inn. If you're looking for a luxurious experience, I would highly not recommend this hotel.
Breakfast is always a treat and our waiter Thuso was a delight. The chef talked with us each day and made us something special. We also were enabled a late check out which was much appreciated. I have stayed at the Da Vinci many times and it is always a pleasure. Thank you Di Fleming
Friendly & welcoming staff, Cleanliness and convenience
The room we got was quite small considering that we were a group of two people sharing. The breakfast service is quite slow and the coffee is too strong.
Love this place. Rooms are quiet, clean and secure. Everyone goes out of their way to make my stay pleasant at the hotel.
Chef Mandla was very helpful really a nice guy, he made my breakfast wonderful as a Pescatarian.
Breakfast and Samantha on the phone with excellent service and great manners. Wow just talking to her and her gesture telephonically.
I asked for a quiet room and I was given a room by the lift/elevator noisy every minute. I’m even shocked because I requested a room that’s quiet but I was given madness room.
Employees were well-level and friendly
While taking a shower, the shower drain and the ceramic tips around it were damaging the feet, the room light on and off control system was very ridiculous and inadequate, the closet was designed in the toilet and bathroom area, so it was ridiculous to have to pass through the sink and wet floor to hang and take the clothes again, the breakfast was very inadequate in the morning for this price and there was no options
Isaac Nkomo in your bar upstairs was exceptional. I travel all the time generally only staying at five star hotels and Issaic made you guys proud! Truly brilliant and will come back again just to thank him !
Breakfast was a bit under whelming. The chef making omelettes on the day didnt seem too happy to be working there but alas she made a great omelette. It is always nice to be greeted by staff that care.
