Southern Sun Rosebank, Johannesburg

Room is big and comfybreakfast is just OKlocation is gooo

courtesy van to the mall - did not meet my expectation. I waited > 35min and no van showed upFront desk services - slow and not very flexible

Fabulous breakfast with lots of vegan options.

Beautiful facilities & lovely staff.

Friendly staff, amenities, good location

You need your key card to work the lights l prefer deeper sinks.

Typical corporate hotel where things are (comfortably) where you expect and, though it doesn’t have charisma, things work fine.

WiFi isn’t secure which really limits what you can do at the hotel. Also they still use the little plastic bottles of shampoo, etc, they should, as a chain, be more ecologically aware.

The hotel is beautiful mire especially the interior deco.. Very clean and welcoming. The staff was just amazing, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very scrumptious, with a lot of options.. From cereal, main breakfast and dessert. I would love to visit the hotel again.

Breakfast was excellent, Shuttle service was so convenient. Staff was welcoming.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing and the room was beautiful and clean.

The breakfast, the rooms and service were all good

There was a cleaner who we caught stealing our stuff but didnt take her name. The pool was out of service

The breakfast was amazing, the room was comfortable, and the hotel is in a safe place

Comfortable rooms, good Wi-Fi, excellent breakast. Close to Rosebank shopping mall. Helpfull staff.

Restaurants and room service close too early.

Good room, comfortable. Very good breakfast. Good wifi.

Bathroom was small and despite paying for the night you have to pay the parking.

Breakfast was good and front desk staff were very courteous.

rooms were dusty and house keeping staff made noise in the corridors.

Was easy to find

The aircon didn’t work all that well and the shower was very small

Location is great, the free taxi to the mall, the staff, the ambience= all great. The place is also really clean

Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of selections. Also the staff at breakfast was exceptional.

The bathroom was small and in need of modernization. The shower was very old and sprayed water all over the floor every time you shower. Also, killed a roach on my third day in the room! Finally, I sent some clothes to be laundered on a Tuesday and did Not receive them until that Thursday, and Had to pick up the clothes at the front desk.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Stable WiFi.

Aircon did not cool the room properly.

Good location close to Rosebank mall. Helpful staff. Upgraded room was very comfortable and the central aircon worked well. WiFi good. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Not able walk outside in the dark ( common issue in JNB).

Modern hotel with all expected facilities and extras in room. There is a shuttle to the mall every 30 min.

Its a short walk from hotel to the mall, if you get the staff to open a back gate for you on the way there. On the way back you can't get through the same gate so you have to walk a bit further, but its no big deal. Would not recommend walking at night, though.

Food was nice, room size good.

The carpet in the room, it's dusty. I recommend u remove them and do tiles.

Breakfast was very good. Restaurant was pretty good too. Shuttle driver was great, shuttle was convenient and helpful. Beds comfy.

On check in we were not told about the pool or gym area at all. No one to ask about activities in the area; not even brochures anywhere. Could use a take one/leave one library/bookshelf so guests could exchange books and read as an activity (since no other activities are suggested).
