Garden Court Eastgate

After a long day of travelling, The staff were friendly and considerate, they were very helpful. Supper in the restaurant was delicious and value for money! The room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable.

The hotel was very noisy. The guests a few rooms from us were making a lot of noise. The hotel is not kept to standard. I have been to other garden court hotels and they seemed much more well kept.

There were no potters and it took long for the towels to be replaced some house keeping staff were cheeky

The rooms need a revamp and the carpets..the phone was not working..the plug for charging phones hardly worked..but was assisted fast for the safe to be fixed..would be nice if a laundry was done in house

The pool was cleaned daily, the guy cleaning had (Piet) very decent throughout, I think he handles maintenance too.The lady who assist in the dining area, every breakfast we had, she was doing everything necessary and very friendly around every customer.

The overall staff, reception staff very unfriendly and unwelcoming.Denied us a portable fridge lied and said they don't have , but on our 3rd day we saw them give it to someone else opposites of blacks. Funny coz the staff are black. They didn't have enough towels for pool area, but they know of capacity they've taken on bookings. The food was the same, nothing interesting. The barman, lacks people skills & customer service. The hotel itself has a stench, must be in the carpets.Most of the people including us, complained of blockages on either bath or sink. The outside area by pool, doesn't have an outdoor roof, it rained and we weren't allowed to relax inside. So any things we had to eat by pool we had to take up to eat in our rooms.

Toilets had no water to flushWater in bathroom was not pleasant, only small drops of water came out from the basin.Rooms were not 100% clean. Papers under the bed.No brush in the toilets.Christmas dinner was not pleasant.

There was Variety of dishes to choose from.

I liked everything about the hotel. Just rain got in the way of our stay. I couldn't enjoy time by the pool side due to rain ☔

The staff at breakfast were okay but some were not exactly polite.

The rooms were dirty,dusty and full of mites and will never book with this group again, weekend was spoilt

The staff were helpful and accommodating. The room was clean. The hotel is located in a quiet spot away from the noise of traffic or crowds, but has excellent access to shopping and other facilities nearby. Good variety of food items for breakfast.

I wanted to take a walk with my family to the mall but we didn't feel safe due to a group of people around the area who seem to be ready to snatch your belongings

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast variety was amazing and overall the property was great. The reception host was also very accommodating.

Breakfast was well balanced. It was a busy time and there was often a queue to get a table. The staff managed this process well.

I was travelling with 3 children, unfortunately I was offered no assistance with bags at check-in. The most help we received was being told that we can use the trolley to take our luggage up and return it - the trolley was difficult to use. On highlighting this I was told that we should have pushed it from the other end - this information would have been helpful at the beginning when they were watching us load up and try maneuver into the elevator. We had a small accident during our stay - there were no plasters in the first aid kit. The lady on duty did manage to find a bandage we could use in the end which was appreciated.
