Decor and furnishing in the rooms is modern and great. The room sizes and views of the ocean were awesome. Breakfast buffet has good variety of foods and caters to different preferences.

There was no porter or security guard to direct us when we arrived. it was in the evening and didn't feel very safe.

The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The rooms are very stuffy and smelly because of the carpets. It was a terrible experience

Lovely room although a bit beige. Sea view with balcony. Very quiet and very clean. Biggest room I’ve seen in a hotel. Massive.

The Wifi reception in the rooms and the conference location was on and off, which from a professional perspective is an issue. Room rates were charged in the local currency, however, the hotel applied the hotel internal exchange US Dollar / Mozambiquan Metical rate instead of the official exchange rate, resulting in a higher daily room rate than anticipated given the less favourable exchange rate at the hotel reception.

The property was close to my work place

Poor customer service . I booked a shuttle it did not show up. The property wanted to charge me a different amount from what booking. com indicated. The swiping machine is programmed to show Mozambican money only and $4000 usd was swiped from my card for a 400 usd. It was only after card declined that I called the bank and was informed USD 4000 was swipped. for 2 consecutive days my towels were not replaced and had to call for my towels to be replaced.

Majority of the staff did not understand English. We visit Maputo at least twice a year and if compared to the Radison, the Gloria staff battle tremendously to speak or understand English which makes requesting anything hard.The breakfast needs to be upgraded. Baked goods are rock hard and food left in buffet area is cold.Pool needs an algae clean. We stayed at Gloria in April 2023 and noticed the same. There is a designated pool cleaner however the center of the big pool is overlooked

Location is excellent, close to many amenities.

Hotel staff not helping with luggage, prioritized someone who came after me and helped her. Only helped after asking why she got preference. Was not impressed!!

The elevator was not working, and we were on the 11 th floor, and we had to use the service elevator. Restaurant had poor service

Service is poor, few hotel staff, slow to no room service, food was limited in quantity and variety for breakfast buffet. I was locked out of my room because I hadn’t paid for one day but had given an advance for 6 out of the 7.

Very disappointing. Serious payment discrepancy. Even though I paid by card, they calculated the exchange around 10% less ???Furthermore, the air-conditioning in the room wasn't getting cold at all (this is Maputo.. its very hot). The technician came to the room, claimed to have fixed the problem.. but nothing changed.Called reception 3 times (and I was just given a deafear. On the 4th call I asked for a refund and they moved me to another room.There was NO difference... I hardly slept as it was hot (air-conditioning not blowing cold air at all).Breakfast is a major Disappointment aswell... Checked out of hotel without even having a cup of coffee...

Rooms are nice

The things advertised were non existent. The gym , swimming pool etc. were not in place. The reception stuff is clueless on what’s happening in the hotel. Food: All food is fried, no option for healthy eaters. We had to eat white bread the whole weekend cause brown bread is not served.
