Hotel Cardoso

Loved the stay at Hotel Cardoso! Perfect location with beautiful views over Maputo Bay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great breakfast selection to start the day. A lovely choice for both business and leisure travellers — would happily return!

Charming hotel in a great location, beautiful old building, lovely details in the lobby and in the rooms. Above all, the hotel employs incredibly competent and helpful staff, especially Cecilia and her colleague at the reception.

Maputo is my City, where I was born and grew up. Hotel Cardoso and the neighborhood (High School, Natural History Museum) is part of my dear childhood memories, and this stay was simply such a blessing for me. The Hotel is beautiful, the staff very kind, wonderful meals and breakfast...amazing! Thanks.

Very beautiful hotel. The location was good and safety enough. To main historical location 20 min by foot.Thank you, staff, for upgrading the room.. it was very, very beautiful. You can dinner in the hotel. Buffet was OK.

Staff members Isabel, Leonor, Nhapela made me feel at home. Lourdes heartly and with so much love prepared delicious breakfast everyday Staff members were kind and helpful

Our room was spacious and had great views. We enjoyed the breakfast. There were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

The bathroom was last renovated a while back but was still perfectly acceptable.

The facilities are in a great location of Maputo. Good breakfast and incredible views of the city.

I didn't like the fact that the Hotel is a army base for EU troops. That have been stationed there for allegedly 2 years. Military personnel must be housed in an army barracks.

Loved the pool terrace for drinks in the evening. Great atmosphere overlooking the yacht club towards the harbour. Lovely bar and restaurant.

Careful with the sliding door. Don’t close it slightly to keep the air conditioned air inside…because it easily self locks. As a solo traveler you will be locked on the balcony…..

No mini bar.no robes . I had to ask for a fridge in exutive suite. I ordered a honeymoon turn down, it was terrible. no breakfast in the room. Forbidden for some reason. Not cheap and I could have spent the money better somewhere else. Food menu was also terribly expensive and limited

The bathroom cos it was showers only n I prefer bath so I ask for exchange of the rooms they refuse, so I was not happy about that.

Great location, lovely staff, the hotel also had most of what you could want from a hotel in Maputo (onsite restaurant, bar, gym) and the rooms were great, very clean and comfortable. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Maputo that doesn't break the bank like Southern Sun, but is a bit nicer than some of the other hotels, you should stay here

Communication between staff - I was leaving early from the hotel, and the night before talked to the front desk who said they had booked a shuttle to take me to the airport, and that they could arrange a breakfast box (unexpected perk) for me to take. The next morning the person on shift didn't know anything about a shuttle or breakfast box, we managed to sort out a taxi though so it all ended well.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional, they have amazing breakfast ?. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. They made sure they use English since we didn't understand Portuguese

This is a great hotel to use during a stay in Maputo as a result of the location, amenities and stable wifi. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay all the more enjoyable.
