    Pros +

    • I liked the pool area, my room was super clean and the shower was hot ! Perfect treat after spending weeks camping and is very close to the airport. The breakfast was amazing and the chefs were so nice and accommodating!
    • The breakfast was excellent and staff members were truly friendly.
    • The was very clean the staff very friendly and willing to help you old the time

    Cons -

    • My main issues were the quality of the food was quite poor considering the quality of the hotel. Also the prices of everything were WAY too much. This was my own fault but double check with laundry as they never told me how much they charge and I got hit with a HUGE bill ? and also make sure you don’t organize a shuttle for Sundays as apparently they don’t run on Sundays even if you have organized with the staff a shuttle 24 hours before hand. The staff did fix this solution for me but I could see they were not happy about it.
    • The only thing is that the facility is near the airport, consequently, planes constantly flying in and out which creates too much noise.
    • I think the bed mattress are a little to hard to sleep also the parking is kind of small, most of the time you have to reverse to came out from the facility but overall is cleann and good place to stay

Very close to the airport so, location

It seems to be a no tell motel Both times I have stayed there

Very nice and clean hotel not far from the airport. Nice pool and pool bar. The food in the restaurant was very tasty, just a smaller portion than I'm used to.

The last night before the flight, when I had to get up early, they had a party there, so I didn't sleep very well because of the children's screams and loud music. The staff was nice, but it was so impersonal, which is understandable. They had a mess in the system and the next day they wanted to kick me out of the room, but I showed him the reservation so he understood. Every day I had to go to the reception to activate the card because it didn't work. Maybe a suggestion for improvement, it's annoying. Nevertheless, I will stay there again next time, I liked it there.

This was the perfect place for a one night or two night stay near Managua or for the airport..clean, food and pool. The shuttle starts a little late about 8:00 a.m.Also great for three adults in the three bedroom unit. Nice size rooms with three beds.

I wish they had a shuttle 24 hours.

Breakfast is very traditional, fresh and delicious. It is located in the main building at the entrance of their campus and is comfortable enough for a family of 4 to sit together. Food display is buffet style, but they have an egg station for you to have eggs as you wish. The rooms are large and spacious, the air unit is cold, and the water in the showers are comfortably hot.

It is a two story building without an elevator, so beware if you have a lot of luggage to haul or family members with mobility issues. The location is in a rough area but once you're in the parking space it is well illuminated and feels safe.

Clean facilityComfy bedsClose to the airport - 5 minute taxi trip at 3:30 am

Taxi cost was $20 - too expensive for how close it is to the airportNo in-room coffee maker

We stayed for one night on our way to the airport. Very convenient location with a good restaurant and a prompt airport shuttle.

Close to the aiprort and breakfast was really good.

No airport pickup if you arrive after 8pm or before 8am. Sheets are dirty

Nice clean modern rooms. Good hot shower. Food in restaurant was good (and lots of choice) and cocktails at snack bar were very good.

Front staff were not helpful on check in, they didn’t advise us about the need to pre-book the airport shuttle or tell us where anything was in the hotel. The WiFi is very poor and barely works. I would say the hotel seems more geared up to local rather than international guests but I would still stay here again because it’s 100 times better than the other airport options in Managua

Pool with bar were nice, Very clean facilities with lots of staff everywhere, almost too many. High level of security.

Well, missed the included breakfast because we had to depart too early. Missed the shuttle service, again, we had to depart too early, although the receptionist at the desk went out of her way and reached out to a very reasonable taxi service, in which case, we did not have to pay the original higher fee the hotel quoted us to provide an early morning ride to the airport. That was quite nice.

GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF, AND BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY. GIFT SHOP WAS NICE

NEIGHBORHOOD WAS A LITTLE SKETCHY BUT SECURITY WAS NICE

    Clean, updated, proximity to airport

NEED TO SPELL OUT IN THE ABOUT: shuttle only 8-8 PM. Main reason we booked was because there was a shuttle, and we couldn’t even use. Majority of Nicaragua flights are super late/early; so shuttle is useless. Please state that in the about section; or offer a paid shuttle.Thankfully, a kind staff member helped us get a very inexpensive taxi. One staff member tried to tell us it would be $20 USD to travel 4 KM to the airport. That was ridiculous.

I recently stayed at Hotel Agualcas in Managua, Nicaragua, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself was nice and clean, which I appreciated. However, there were a few aspects that I found less satisfactory. One issue I encountered was the unpleasant smell of mold in the restaurant. This was a disappointment, as it affected the overall dining experience. Additionally, I found it somewhat excessive that the hotel staff counted the towels upon check-in and warned guests about potential charges for missing towels. Similarly, the policy of charging $20 for a lost key seemed a bit steep, especially considering the possibility of reused keys. While the restaurant staff were generally friendly and accommodating, I did notice that some of the hosts were not as welcoming as I would have expected. On a related note, I found it unnecessary that the hotel required the names of all guests, including children, for each room. This seemed redundant, considering that we were still paying for the room regardless. On a positive note, I appreciated that the hotel is relatively new and well-maintained. The cleanliness of the property was evident, which added to the overall comfort of the stay. However, it is worth mentioning that the hotel’s proximity to the airport means that guests can expect to hear loud planes passing overhead. This may be unsettling for some individuals, particularly those sensitive to noise. In conclusion, Hotel Agualcas in Managua, Nicaragua, offers a clean and relatively new accommodation option. While there were some minor issues, such as the mold smell in the restaurant and certain unfriendly hosts, the overall experience was satisfactory. However, guests should be aware of the noise from nearby planes due to the hotel’s proximity to the airport.

The bed was somewhat hard, and the sheets were a little too thin.

    very close to the airport

Our stay at this hotel was a nightmare! The staff seemed to have a talent for unfriendliness, and horror struck when we discovered insects/worms crawling in our bed, forcing us to beg for a room change. To top it off, our windowless room felt like a claustrophobic dungeon, and the grime and dirt everywhere only added to the horror movie ambiance. Never again!

Clean, beautiful decor. Safe accommodations. Shuttle service. Pleasant staff that went the extra mile. I would recommend and stay again!

Breakfast is pretty good. Meals served by the pool were ok.

The bed 'linens' are made of plastic, which we've never seen before, and were weird to sleep on. Our suite had a jacuzzi tub you can't use because it has a hole, so won't hold water. You can't walk anywhere out of the grounds, it is a very dirty and unsafe area.

Clean and comfortable rooms.Nice pool area.Included breakfast a good quality and we ordered pasta for dinner the night before which was very tasty. Included shuttle to the airport is a huge bonus!

Location isn’t the nicest but it’s very useful for the airport.

close to the hotel, great parking, safe inside

I had to pay extra for a fried eggs, that’s just ridiculous
