    Pros +

    • The location next to a small waterway with a paved walking path on both sides is a nice touch. There's a small grocery store within walking distance of the hotel.
    • There's a nice waterway with a paved walking path next to the hotel. It's a short walk to a small grocery store. The hot water worked well. The breakfast in the morning was good but not fancy.
    • Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Free breakfast was the best selection and quality. Room was just the right size-small but very easy to move around in. For an American the -- + tax a a wonderful breakfast was a good deal.

    Cons -

    • My room window faced the afternoon sun. It was quite stuffy in the room in the afternoon. And there were no fans in the room. I suggest the hotel should include a fan in each room. The airflow would make the room much less stuffy.
    • It was really hot in the room in the afternoon. While air conditioning isn't really necessary, a fan would be nice. The room was really stuffy.
    • A loose manhole cover in the street outside our window rang out every time a car rolled over it all night long. The hotel didn't understand what they could do about it when I made the suggestion of calling the city to repair it. Their reply was ?.

Very central location. Quite classical hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast ok, however, with not a lot of choice.

Poor sound isolation. Ho tea/ coffee making possibility or minibar. The shower functions only from above, not very covenient. In general, the facilities are too often used, needs some rehreshment.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just in the middle of the town. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is big enough. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are OK. There is a hairdryer in the room and a wardrobe with shelves. The TV worked well and there were programmes in several languages. The breakfast was quite good with a choice of some warm dishes (like omlette, sausages, boiled eggs, potatoes) and some basic cold (ham, 1 sort of cheese, herring, some basic vegetables). Though it was simple it was better than we expected and knew from the visits to other hotels in the same town.

If you waht to sleep well it is better to choose another place to stay. There is no AC in the room so you MUST keep the windows open during the night - during the day the room heats up a lot. We did not go to bed before midnight, it was half past modnight when all "the fun" started. First the crazy BMW drivers that did not observe any kind of speed limits, it was horrific - as we understood the main route of drifting is situated just outside the hotel. After 2 o'clock we could be listeners to a drama done by several drunk persons who found "the stage" of their performance just under our windows. So the noght was really short.

I stayed one night in a single room. From the outside, it’s already clear that the hotel needs improvements – for example, a step was crumbling and marked off with red tape. The room itself was small but adequate for one night. However, it would be too small for a longer stay. TV was available, and the free Wi-Fi was good. There was convenient parking next to the hotel. Inside the room, the renovations appeared poorly done – there were cracks in the wall and peeling wallpaper. Dinner at the restaurant was 6 out of 10, while breakfast was better – 8 out of 10.

Location is great, very close to a lake and Gōrs and the festival park. Staff was kind to let us check-in early. Room was simple, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also quite simple, but there was enough to choose from and it was all fresh.

There was no air conditioning in the room, so just to keep in mind if coming during hot weather. We would have liked a mini fridge in the room.

Bad location, bad bathroom, bad breakfast….

Nice option in between old and new parts of the town. Decent breakfast included. Room was a bit dated but was clean and comfortable.

    Bad noise insulation

Good location and very good restaurant. Temperature in the rooms were really nice.

    Rooms are too small

    9AndrisPosted on: 2-18-2025

    Good breakfast choices, friendly staff.

Shower area was small and the curtain was a bit uncomfortable.

    7SimonaPosted on: 2-13-2025

Room definitely exceeded my expectations - it was clean, spacious, with comfortable bed. Good value for the price!

Walls in the hotel are super thin; as it was busy night at the hotel, I could easily hear other guests in the hallway or room next to mine. Breakfast was very poor.

    Passable

hotel upgrade investments would be welcomed. The location is excellent, Art Deco style building, 100 m close to Cultural centre Gors, super location and options for quests to stay... Staff is helpful, kind.

Staff were very friendly. Restaurant for the dinner surprise with local menu and waiter was excellent

    Sound proof doesn’t exist

The hotel is very interesting. It is old, but still functional and kept very clean. The hotel staff went out of their way to make my stay quite pleasant. So for a few negatives, there were many more positives.

They could do a bit more with their breakfast.

    4AgrisPosted on: 11-15-2024

Beautiful view from the window. Adjustable heating. There are opening windows.

The shower falls off the wall, the wallpaper is shattered, the toilet bowl is so cheap that you can't wash away the poop.
