Hotel Bishops Arms Köping

Wonderful Stay! Bartender/waitress/Receptionist woman was very helpful and personable. Excellent breakfast. What a wonderful vibe to the place.

We are very happy we stayed at the Bishops Arms. We had been to the pub many times and this time when visiting family we had to book a hotel, this was the obvious choice. Easy to park outside (but you need a parking disc!) or park at the back of the hotel. Clean rooms, quiet, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, mainly continental, but plenty of choice and served from 0630. The pub serves hot meals, a small meny but there’s something for everyone and we found it very handy just to go down in the bar for a drink and something to eat when we had had a tiring day. Another couple of restaurants are literally a 4/5 minute walk. Köping is a small town but has a small high street, a bank and shops. Our only adverse feedback was that on dark Swedish winter afternoon/evenings we found the lighting in the room too dim. There was no ceiling lights and the side lights were not strong enough.

Location, good size rooms, very clean, nice kitchen and bar. Had some issues but the staff was very good and took care of everything.

Breakfast was great. There were a lot of different options to chose from. I appreciated that the breakfast opened early but it could probably have been open a bit longer than 9 am on the weekdays.

Friendly, helpful welcoming people. Excellent variations on the usual “pub menu” - very well cooked and presented.

Nothing springs to mind

Comfortable & clean (air conditioning, WiFi, very quiet). Excellent value for money @75€ per night.

No real complaints... maybe make sure there are more receptionists than just one person when checking in at night.

It was in the center of Koping.

We were NOT told there was a band playing on Friday and Saturday we were there. It was very loud and kept us awake from10pm till 2 pm. Other family and friends who were also staying there also were kept awake! As we had a Family wedding to attend the next day we were all far from pleased. My son who was getting married decided to book a room last minute that day to get a good night's sleep and was again not told about the band. When he went down to complain and said he couldn't stay there as he needed to get to sleep as he was getting married the next day. He asked for a refund and the manager was very rude and refused. I have never been to a hotel where I haven't been warned about loud music, eg party, etc As my Son and wife live in Koping and will be visiting often to visit them they have lost any future bookings.

Room was nice

The hotel owner was very rude, walking around very serious and then kicking us out at the end our stat when were in the cafe waiting for the taxi to arrive. If you are expecting a good customer service, i wouldn’t come here.

The room is spacious and the beds are comfy but thats about it.

It was our first time in Sweden for a very close friends wedding. We stayed for 5 nights as we wanted to make the most of seeing them. On the Friday evening before the wedding we was about to go to sleep but suddenly we could hear very very loud music coming from what we think was a weekend event down the road. We was NOT pre warned this before our stay and having known it was so close to this music where we couldn't sleep we would not have stayed here. It’s unacceptable that you can run a business knowing people will be sleeping there with that amount of noise with no pre warning! Especially considering we had a wedding to attend and no compensation for this! We heard the groom was staying there for the night before the wedding as he had no where else to sleep but he had to leave because of the noise and no one would refund him! On our last day as we was waiting for our friend to pick us up to go to the airport, we waited inside sat down and we was asked to leave by the owner because apparently they was closing the door which we thought was very strange considering its a hotel and open all the time, we was only waiting to be picked up and it was the least they could let us do considering how much money they took from us for our stay! The owner was not very polite back as well and very forceful.

The breakfast had a good spread and was nicely done.

- Washrooms were not cleaned especially the toilet bowl.- Not enough lighting in the room (Too dim)- No phone provided to call reception

A very quiet and comfortable stay. Cosy tasteful rooms. Centrally located. Really nice pub to enjoy dinner and a drink. Good breakfast in the morning too.

Hot options for breakfast were limited to (burned) scrambled eggs. Key cards have a habit of wiping themselves if placed near anything else electronic

Central location, nice staff and facilities were good. Nice breakfast buffet.

The bed was very soft, needs upgrade. Sunny side, curtains were not closed to keep the sun out hemce the room was very warm (30+ C).When askin for a fan in the reception they had none left. Hotel was far from fully booked so they need to invest in some extra fans.
