About

Brøndums Hotel in Skagen is authentic Danish cultural history and has been a gathering point and meeting place in Skagen since the time of the Skagen Painters. Look forward to a truly extraordinary hotel experience characterized by tradition, quality, culinary delights, and classic hospitality. When you visit Brøndums Hotel, you can relax in the fireplace lounge, enjoy local ingredients from nature's own pantry served in our restaurant - accompanied by tasteful grapes from our award-winning, historic wine cellar. And of course, stay overnight in our cozy rooms, all individually decorated in an authentic style. When booking, you must decide whether you want to stay in the hotel's iconic main building or live like royalty at Admiralgården (located 2 minutes from the hotel). The hotel offers historic rooms where you can choose from rooms, where you either share a bathroom or have your own. Brøndums Hotel offers free parking, charging stations, your dog is warmly welcomed at Admiralgården, and with 656 ft to the beach and a 5-minute walk to the city's main shopping streets with many high-end and specialty stores - the location is ideal. An ideal combination with your stay at Brøndums Hotel is one of Denmark’s most recognized and cultural art experiences – Art Museums of Skagen – that shares a common history with the hotel and is located just across from the hotel. We look forward to seeing you!

    Pros +

    • The history of artists, the old world charm and the spectacular food at the restaurant.
    • Sophisticated building with cultural heritage. Great restaurant with delicious local food. Nice breakfast with delicious pastry and scramble eggs
    • The room was super cute and bed was very comfortable and clean. It was handy having my own sink in the room since the bathrooms are shared. The parking was convenient to the main entrance and the beach wasn't far away. Dinner and Breakfast were both excellent. I hadn't had such good pastry since leaving København.

    Cons -

    • The shared bathroom is worse than I thought. It’s clean but feels like a dorm bathroom. Room is not fully cleaned. We found some hairs left in the mattress. In general the value of money is so so.
    • Because it's an older home, the walls are fairly thin and sound carries. I felt I had to be really quiet to not annoy my neighbouring guests.
    • The annex is a bit away from the main hotel

Charming historic property, nicely restored and updated. Beds were comfortable, linens fresh and plush.

the hotel harks back to bygone days. It is a wonderfully old-fashioned place, the comfort and technical equipment of the rooms is moderate in comparison with modern standards, but the atmosphere of the hotel is highly cultivated, the selection of all the furnishings, of carpets, wall-papers, furniture and the whole architecture is immaculate and authentic. It is a pleasure to be there and enjoy the taste and beauty of the rooms.

Very nice and clean rooms. Excellent bed and pillows. Sooo quiet and fresh air!!

A beautiful atmospheric hotel, close to Skagen museum, a short walk from the railway station and with lovely shops (and excellent bakery) nearby. The breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful room. The hotel grounds were very nice to relax in.

The room was a bit spartan and on small side. (Not that big a problem to be honest, there's a lovely hotel lounge to sit in.) As in much of the rest of Skagen, vegetarians are not well catered for.

Breakfast was great and the building looks really nice from the outside

We couldn't sleep properly as there was so much noise from both the bathroom outside our room and the fact that you hear EVERY movement and rumbling of other guests in the building, which doesn't seem to have proper noise cancellation features (I get it's 200 years old, but still can be 'modernized'). We had a pretty lousy night.

Lovely breakfast with many choices, in a beautiful garden. My favorite were the delicious, freshly baked buns. Romantic place to stay, very quiet. Loved the bathrobes which were quite handy when venturing outside our room.

    Historical and clean

Quite long way from hotel to annex

Wonderful hotel, beautiful old building but perfectly maintained. Great location. We should have stayed longer and made dinner reservations because it is popular.

The historical importance of the place and the ambiance

Too pricy when the Rooms lack bathroom and ac Our room 116 at the top of the stairs was so noisy and caught all the noise from the stairway and the entrance one floor down. Really bad sleep

The hotel is very historic and it is trading on its reputation I think. We were in an annexe room which was in fact a suite so we had plenty of space.

The annexe is quite a walk (in the rain) from the main hotel and has no lift. The room was comfortable but there was no tea or coffee making in the room, and nor could we obtain tea or coffee in the main hotel as all the drawing rooms that they advertise for the use of guests have been turned into dining rooms, so there was no relaxation space. The evening meal was very nice but very expensive.

Central located, but still quiet area. Friendly staff and great breakfast

I thought I ordered a hotel room in the old and fasionable Brøndums Hotel, but we got a room in the Annex,The Annex was in a way nice (clean room and comfy beds), but our disappointment was that the room has no toilet/shower - the toilet/shower in the hallway was however clean and nice.

Although the hotel is a bit walking distance from the train station, its location is perfect for sightseeing! Right next to the major museum and all other houses are nearby. The hotel is classic, with wonderful lounge and garden to sit and relax. The breakfast is good too!

    Breakfast and location, atmosphere

Too small room. The restaurant told us we could not reserve a specific table. We hade to take what was convient for the restaurant. When we arrived for dinner, we wanted an available table set for two people by the window. We could not have that table, because it was reserved......?

Breakfast was good, appreciated the fresh fruit and vegetables, on our 3 days of stay we ate breakfast in both breakfast restaurants and the garden. Staff very cheerful and very friendly and helpful

Well kept and located traditional building and premises. Clean. Kind staff. Wonderful area for breakfast.
