    Pros +

    • Very welcoming, clean, central and cosy. Highly recommend
    • Very clean charming early period beach hotel with our own little balcony for early morning coffee.
    • Arrived late and were met by the owners. Very nice people. The room was comfortable and had an excellent breakfast.

    Cons -

    • Shower was very small separated by curtain only. TV had few working channels.
    • The breakfast did not include scrambled eggs and bacon
    • We couldn’t figure out the TV, but when we got a hold of the Technical person the day after it was resolved. The stairs to the second floor are steep, a warning to those who have trouble with stairs.

Breakfast was really good with lots of excellent bread. Room was large with a small balcony.

The breakfast did not include scrambled eggs and bacon

We especially made use of the balcony and the location near everything in old town Skagen. The breakfast was quite good. It’s architecture fit in well with the old town.

We couldn’t figure out the TV, but when we got a hold of the Technical person the day after it was resolved. The stairs to the second floor are steep, a warning to those who have trouble with stairs.

Great location near the beach, museum, town.Very clean. Hosts were excellent!

Shower very small. No communal space after 8 pm. Large outdoor space but not in cool/cold weather.

The hotel is lovely and well maintained. The owner/proprietor of this hotel was extremely helpful and responsive! We took an afternoon ferry from Norway to get here and so needed a late check in. She made that happen and even gave us upgraded rooms. Breakfast was delicious with nice selections with a very lovely detailed presentation. The beds were comfortable. We'd definitely like to return here for a longer stay!

We loved being on the balcony, but could unfortunately smell cigarette smoke from those smoking outside below. Nothing could help that; it was just unfortunate.

Perfect location, very clean and cozy hotel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Very good breakfast.

The Breakfast was extraordinary. Beautiful Dining room in Skagen style and excellent choice of breakfast food and very elegant service

The decor is very classy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Easy parking out front, the town within easy walking distance.

The breakfast was disappointing. They could really do better. It’s obvious that they are doing the minimum they think they can get away with. It wouldn’t cost that much to be more generous, and it would pay off in better reviews.

The hotel is so beautiful you felt completely relaxed as soon as you arrive. The rooms are comfortable and stylish and have everything you need. The staff are so kind and helpful. You can rent bikes at the hotel which is so handy in Denmark where cycling is such a joy. The food in the evening and for breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I had the best time.

    Nothing. It was all perfect.

Perfect breakfast, parking, location, late night checkin.

    Hostel thin walls.

Cute boutique hotel, you can tell the owners put a lot of effort into making the hotel cozy and comfy for the guest. Breakfast was amazing, homemade ham and egg salad - a bit enough selection of everything and just good quality!!

Felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Large upgraded room was nice. Green, shady outdoors was very welcome.

Exceptional hotel! Strandly is well managed with friendly and engaged staff, offers a nice breakfast and is one of the cleanest and cosiest hotels we have stayed.

    We have no improvement suggestions.

The Hotel Strandly Skagen suited us well, as we were travelling around Denmark by train and it was a short walk from the station. It is situated in the town, close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants, as well the museum and other tourist attractions. The hotel is a wonderful family-run hotel. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived. The room itself was a good size and very comfortable. The bed was so amazingly comfortable and we slept extremely well during our whole stay. The owner, Didde, is a brilliant host and obviously trains her team well, as they were helpful and polite. You really sense they want to make your stay special. Didde went out of her way to help us when we rented two of their bikes, which was so nice, since we hadn’t ridden a bike for years. The day we left, we had to leave before breakfast began, but Didde had requested her team to prepare breakfast trays for us to pick up and take to our room. The staff really could not have done more for us. We would love to return to the Hotel Strandly Skagen at some time in the future. Thank you all for a fabulous few days in Skagen.

We both agreed, there is nothing we didn’t like about the Hotel Strandly Skagen.
