Will only stay here if no where else available

No bar, had to sit in reception. Room not cleaned all week when there

The rooms were sparkling clean, the staff was friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent.

The hotel is well located, it takes a 15 minute walk to the main street of Halden. In addition to the good breakfast the price every day included a tasty dinner, as well.

The beds are rather uncomfortable: we had two single beds arranged close to each other, but the beds were not fixed and this could even cause a nasty accident during the night (i.e. falling between the two beds). I would recommend using firmly attached single beds, to avoid problems.

My stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious with amazing views, and the dinner options were both spectacular and generally healthy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the gym facilities were decent. While I would have appreciated a location closer to the train station, the central spot was convenient overall.

There were a couple of minor issues: a slight smell in the bathroom on the first day and water spilling from the bathtub if drained too quickly. Despite these, it was a great stay.

The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and accommodating. With a friendly welcome, we were given our room ahead of time on our arrival. The homey decor, comfortable couches, and decor was instantly welcoming exuding hygge. The generous and delicious home cooked breakfast, fikka, and dinner complete the experience. Thank you so much for a memorable stay in Halden.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The coffee and cake,, evening meal and breakfast were all very good with lots of variety of food choices and again the staff ovrseeing the meals were very hard working. Just a delightful place to stay.

I found the room a bit cold and despite it being June 9-10 I felt cold in the bed at nighttime. Perhaps the blanket was not warm enough! It could be that I was also a bit cold myself and outside it was raining!

Plenty of private parking spaces, comfortable beds, excellent salat buffet for dinner

Our room was close to the main street so it was quite noisy, lack of seedless bread options for breakfast.

Overall, the hotel provided reasonably comfortable accommodations and amenities, was quite, location is 20 minutes from train station of foot, however the lack of diversity representation and sustainability efforts in its dining offerings was disappointing (see bellow).

As I said above, my stay at Clarion Park Hotel in Halden, Norway, left me disappointed with its poor representation of diversity values, very much at contrast to the inclusive and diverse atmosphere I'm used to experiencing at Strawberry Network hotels in Sweden. Clarion offers breakfast, tea and dinner. Thats great! Unfortunately, I found the culinary offerings at Clarion Park to be predominantly biased towards meat and dairy, which is concerning given the emphasis on climate change and sustainability (even written in chalk), and also contrasting with values Straweberry chain associates itself with. It would be beneficial for the hotel to offer a wider variety of plant-based options and showcase a commitment to environmentally conscious dining practices. Dinner operates during very short periods of time (one day I missed the dinner (closes on 20:00). The price/value ration (~190euro/night) is not the best, staying similar in price as in larger cities (and not too many guests as it seemed), Also I did not found how to increase the temperature in the room (it was cold) as the radiator was not operational, staff was unable

The cost or kWh on electric charger at the hotel. Approximately 10 times normal cost in Norway (10 NOK/kWh) this is unacceptable, in my view

I charged my car on the charfing point at the hotel and the price per kWh is extremely high.

It had a room when the Thon was full

Threadbare carpets, heater stank of burning dust when switched on so the room was cold. Shower pressure was low, underfloor heating in bathroom was random and not temperature set table. Food was greasy spoon standard.

The evening meal and breakfast buffet were bountiful and delicious. We really enjoyed them!

It is in a residential neighbourhood. Luckily Halden is very small but there is not much around the hotal

Room was very hot and no alternative room offered. A small fan was provided but was too noisy to run at night. The main hot dishes for the included dinner were not good. Poor quality, little choice and were repeated on a 3 night stay.

The breakfast was excellent. The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly.

The rooms were never cleaned. For the high price they charge, thus should be a minimum service. Breakfast was an utter disappointment as the food was stale.

Free parking and location were the only good points
