    Newer hotel with good breakfast

No one came to clean our room for the entire time we were there. Had to ask for clean towels. No reception or staff to contact except email.

Breakfast with a view!! Lots of healthy options and you sit right next to the arena. Very cool! Rooms are spacious. Self check-in was easy.

Parking isn’t free and not direct in front of the hotel (but you can unload in front of the hotel). Parking is next to the arena with EasyPark.

We were traveling from Oslo to Stockholm and chose this hotel to rest and its was a perfect place. Very comfortable bed, spacious and quite room. Great options for breakfast with a view to the hockey hall. Easy online check-in. Parking near hotel 90kr for 24 hours.

    all good

    Bathroom was nice

Small dark rooms. A bit off in location- would rather choose city center. Breakfast was ok but much better at Scandinavia Winn.Should have parking included in price

Nice breakfast with seats to enjoy the Karlstad Arena from above. Self check in was all good. No noise from a road or something.

We liked the option of the jr. suite with attached bunk beds for our short family stay. The room was very large and very clean. The breakfast was also very nice. The auto check in gave us some problems, but luckily there was an employee there to help us get it worked out. Had it been after 9pm, I'm not sure what we would've done. Location is a bit out of the way and it doesn't look like much from the outside, right next to the stadium. But the room was great and we had a nice view of the water. We're pleased with the experience overall.

It's dog friendly, which is fine. But upstairs guests left their dog alone in the room and it barked all morning, waking us up.

Our experience at this hotel was positive. The hotel is located in a unique setting – inside a sports hall – which made for a fun and different atmosphere. Everything inside and outside the room was clean and pleasant, and the breakfast area really stood out: stylish, spacious, and offering a diverse and tasty selection of food. A particularly nice touch was being able to watch hockey practice through the windows while enjoying breakfast – a memorable and enjoyable detail.

A new and very well-maintained accommodation. Perfect for travelers with families. The breakfast had a great selection. The view of the hockey rink is a nice bonus.

    Amazing breakfast. Helpful working staff.

    Lack of free parking

    7DinaPosted on: 7-14-2025

The room was clean, the kettle, tea, and cups provided. Breakfast is very nice, there is a variety of food and very friendly staff. Although it says that it's an autonomous hotel, there was a person on-site who helped with the check-in process (probably, would have managed without but it helped a lot as we came in late and kids were sleepy). There's a vending machine near the check-in area for a quick snack.

There are too many emails from the property after initial booking confirmation, and it's difficult to find necessary information, plus everything is in Swedish.Parking and building access is very confusing. There are three parking lots around the building. One behind the building (small, there are signs "no hotel parking"), second one on the side (medium), and the third one across the street from the main building entrance near the hippodrome (large). The third one is where the visitors are supposed to park. You need a code to access the building. We received a phone call from the manager who promised to send the code via sms before our arrival but we didn't receive it.Managed to get inside with other visitors who were able to reach the manager over the phone. And lastly, make sure to notice the room names when booking - there are "no windows" rooms (super dark, as expected).

    Value for money.

I find the absence of reception staff to be a little stressful, although I understand this aspect helps to reduce costs. I also found the parking issue to be somewhat stressful, although Siri was available on the phone to guide me through the issue.

Very very good hotel. On breakfast you have opportunity to watch Ice hockey trainings. Or even have a breakfast with a team. Hotel was clean. Family room is big and enough space with 2 kids. Throw the window u have an amazing river view ?

The room and the hotel were clean. The breakfast was fine.

The loud ventilation noise from outside - however it was off during the night ours. The room was marked with the sea view - in reality one could see the water but the view was mostly blocked by a wall.
