Daily cleaning of the room could improve

Nice location, very near restaurants and shops, very friendly staff, decent breakfast and good coffee! Slept well, not too much noise.

The room was a bit basic, felt a bit like student accommodation.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was good. I liked the old style of the building, but felt freshening it up a bit with some paint would be a good idea.

I think cleanliness could be improved a bit, and the building seemed run-down and under-maintained; it could also be cosier with a relaxing bar area.

The location and the size of the room was appreciable.

The bath room were smelling a little bit bad.

Location and breakfast

The 1 person room looked a bit outdated compared to the next door room I had the chance to look inside. Some clear water leakage damage on the ceiling.

The hotel was generally good. But we had tremendous problems with the plumbing, resulting in a flooded bathroom, a long delay in finding us another room, a full set of clothes soaked, The hotel had no spare rooms that were clean. No manager was available then or throughout our stay of two nights. We asked for some compensation, and eventually we were told we would receive a full refund. They asked us for our IBAN bank details for the refund as we left. If we had received this we would have thought they had done the right things.

As the hotel had no spare rooms, we had to wait some hours for them to get a cleaner in. Despite asking no manager was available to deal with us, The receptionist did her best but was clearly on her own with no backup. We aksed again after spending the next day touring the area. Although a refund was offered, none has been forthcoming and our messages via Booking.com were ignored. The stay was very disappointing as a result of the delays in finding a clean room, a lot of wet clothes that had to be cleaned, and the poor after care.

The room was nice, spacious and having everything you need or you can imagine that you can need. Very good breakfast. Very good location between the train station (lovely too) and the nice historical center of the town.

Bad

Because I was traveling from Finland in the evening I requested a late check-in time between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM, which was confirmed by acommodation staf. However, when I arrived at your hotel on at 1:15 AM, I found the door locked and no one at the reception desk. I attempted to call the provided phone number, but only reached an automated answering system that spoke in Danish, which I could not understand. As a result, I was unable to check in and had to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night. I contacted the accommodation next day, because stay was charged fully to my credit card upfront After that they occasionnaly response to my urgence and for two month they several times promised refund, but after that they stoped communicate. So this is their customer approach. I am diapointed in these days they are not able to provide customers with english speeking service and their willingness to solve the problem is minimal. I hope that they use my money at least to record their telephone answering machine in english.

Good but not exceptional value for money, but being able to check in early was definitely a very welcome gesture which was helpful as we needed to change clothes before going to a family reunion.

The obsession with birthdays, star signs and astrology - described as "science" - is borderline creepy. Fine if that's the owners' passion but perhaps not everyone shares this fascination.

The rooms at The Palads Hotel are very spacious and comfortable - great bed - there is free parking and the breakfast was very good too. Viborg is an outstanding town with many extremely well-preserved streets and buildings, shops and restaurants. We will definitely be returning someday and staying once again at The Palads Hotel.

Sauna and jacuzzi in a v reasonably priced room - great value! I don't think you can get these facilities for cheaper anywhere in denmark, honestly.Less than 10m walk from train station.

Perfect location on the central shopping/pedestrian street.

Many rooms are off-site from the main building, in what seems to be previous business or residential buildings on the back side of the pedestrian street. "Spa and sauna" rooms may be somewhat "stuffy" and damp after use. Our sauna door couldn't close (so not used). Breakfast was basic, and staff (one person) struggled to keep up.
