Pros +
- Free parking.
- Friendly staff, very comfortable bed and a short walk to relatives house.
- Good value for a two night stay.
Cons -
- Lack of restaurant. Twim room and a single large towel in bathroom.
- The location is pretty grim, next to an A road service station, and two drive-in junk food outlets. The breakfast offering is poor, but that's not unexpected for an offering at this price level.
- Air Con would be good.

Friendly staff, very comfortable bed and a short walk to relatives house.
Good value for a two night stay.

The whole experience was excellent. Checking in was fast efficient and friendly. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable
Excellent security for motorcycles, clean room, about a 25 min walk to nearest bar/restaurant, staff were helpful. Would stay again.
Air Con would be good.
Very pleasant staff, very clean, convenient to Big Pit Mine, fast food and shopping.
As usual for the UK, no a/c. Provided a fan. Freeway noise if window open to let air in.
We stayed 3 nights. The location was wonderful because it was a central point for our travels around South Wales. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having the car park right outside was nice. Breakfast was wonderful. We especially loved that the front desk also served draft beer as well!
Nothing to say.
Rooms clean and comfortable, reception staff very helpful
Breakfast was poor, had to wait for hot food to be replenished, no milk for cereal
We stayed here rather than in Cardiff city centre because the hotel prices were astronomical due to Rugby being on. It was about a 20-30min drive into Cardiff which was fine for us, and a good alternative to spending quadruple the price in Cardiff.Staff were great. There doesn't appear to be a customer lift, so it's stairs only for getting to the room which was fine for us, but might be a consideration for those who are less able to handle stairs. Room was quite hot with no air con, and a fan that only worked on speed 2. Batteries in the TV remote were low on energy, so took a couple presses to get the buttons to work. The remote control also had a Netflix button, but no Netflix installed on the TV which was weird. It was fine for somewhere to lay your head. We've stayed in better, but we've also stayed in worse. Prices were still probably inflated because of the sport on that weekend, but overall fine.
Location and tv was good
Beds hard but it was for only one night so not too bad The shower curtain needs updating .. looks old and grubby
Very clean and good for the price and staff was very friendly
Poor
Terrible experience- spare bed was broken. Unsuitable to sleep on, approached front desk to be told that no alternates available. No spare sheets etc available to try and pad out broken bed.
Quiet, well situated, options for fast food available on the site.
A chair to relax on in my room.
Quiet, plenty car parking. Comfy bed. KFC, McDonald's and Asda express on site.
Nothing worth mentioning that was bad, a little niggling maybe, the amount of tea and milk for two people, was very minimal(2 teabags,2 milk.), going to reception to ask for extra.
Close to kfc, Greggs, subway and McDonald'sThe bed was comfy.
There was a terrible smell in the hallway and the bathroom. The shower was dirty. The staff were very casual calling me mate and smoking outside with creased shirts sticking out, the room was very small and claustrophobic
I was charged for a breakfast, but the hotel had no pastries to offer as all gone. This was 07.30 in the morning. Unexceptable
Breakfast cost for whats on offer
Check in staff were really friendly and had a decent quality breakfast.
Twin beds were not adequate, way too narrow and uncomfortable.Mushrooms at breakfast didn't taste very nice due to the liquid they're kept in.
Clean and reasonable priced hotel on the side of a motorway. Did the job for what we needed it for and found the woodland path nearby takes you towards locating the local canal and basin for some lovely coffee.
Lovely stay convenient very friendly staff clean my preference would be softer pillows other than that can't wait to come back very soon when pontypool rugby season starts up again.
Attractively decorated room and public areas. Extremely clean and comfortable. Room was a little on the small side though fine for one night. Conveniently located for our visit to family in East Wales
Room on the small side and some road noise from outside.
