Ideal quiet location, fantastic food well prepared and served and the staff are excellent, with a'nothing is too much trouble' attitude delivered in a cheerful manner.
Great food from the restaurant and at breakfast. Staff went above and beyond to facilitate our needs. Mark was exceptionally helpful, even acted as a taxi service - wonderful!
Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Quirky style, rooms felt luxurious. Food and service in the restaurant was outstanding. Lovely beer garden and beautiful village setting.

Beautiful room .. I think we got an upgrade and the staff were lovely. Evening good too. Lovely outdoor spaces and bar area.
Not a criticism but wish we had dined in the bar area. There were some big parties and the bar seemed calmer with quieter corners.
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Perfect room with garden, tastefully decorated and furnished. Huge, comfy bed. Dinner was lovely! Pub was traditional. ?
We had to leave!
Staff friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food lovely.

Lovely pub and great staff food a bit average.
Paid a top price for a dessert and it was dry and awful. I thought the food was expensive.
Clean, lovely staff. Quiet, good food. Great in room facilities.
On site restaurant. Dogs welcome, Field at back for dog walking. Lovely village setting. Friendly staff.
Nothing really.
Wonderful staff, comfy room with many thoughtful extras- curly wurlies and dressing gowns to name just two.
The food was ok but could be great! Dip for squid starter overly salty so practically inedible.
Comfortable bed and good bath
Although I messaged three times to say I would arrive after 11pm due to my train when I arrived the place was closed. I was dropped off by my taxi driver, middle of nowhere and no one to let me in. After half an hour panicking phoning all numbers available-with no answer- I found a small note in the window directing me to my room. While I was grateful to finally have access to my room the note informed me that my room was unlocked and where to find the key, which for a solo female traveller didn't seem very security aware. I did mention this to the manager and he apologised and said that it wouldn't happen again, not very helpful for me. A phone call or message prior to my arrival would have been appreciated.
Beautiful location, lovely pub, great breakfast, great staff, lovely decor throughout.
The cleanliness, noisy cleaning staff very early in the morning, the price was high for the standard of the room.
The black horse inn is a beautiful little place. The little pub was delightful and the restaurant was fantastic. The staff were so friendly. Our room was so quirky and beautiful decorated with a very comfortable bed. We will definitely be back
The staff were outstanding. Helpful polite and above and beyond. We stayed in Black Bess room and it was lovely. Food was amazing.
Nothing it gave us everything we wanted.
The room was excellent value for money. They really have thought of the little touches that make staying in a B&B that much easier. Very comfy bed good shower, clean, nothing to fault really
Nothing really
Lovely quaint village pub with rooms Very clean and comfortable The food is outstanding Loved everything would definitely return
The restaurant and pub were really lovely. Good food and a nice atmosphere.
The room itself smelled really musty and the floors were not clean at all. I didn't feel comfortable in the room as the smell was so overpowering.
