    • The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful.Would stay there again?
    • We had the loft that was great but our shower/toilet was downstairs. But anyone could get in... Maybe have a lock on it with a key so your stuff is safe.

Quirky cosy communal areas, comfy bed, welcoming staff, modern shower, nice garden, views, delicious breakfast, good value.

Outside of the building is tatty, bathroom had manky grout, room was a bit dusty, I have never stayed anywhere that charges extra for filter coffee when offering breakfast included, such a shame as the breakfast was lovely, please consider starting breakfast at 7.30 for early risers / people traveling for work.

Lovely character property. Had free upgrade had a lovely room. (2)Lovely gardens. Lovely helpful staff. Thoughtful towards our dog. Great breakfast. Lovely facilities.,Would recommend.

    Road noise.,

Excellent location for us and our two dogs. Catherine and her team were excellent, room comfortable and extremely dog friendly. Grounds were lovely and a superb breakfast both mornings.

    Very good customer service

Little things not working. Eg remote control for TVGuide.co.uk. Better service at breakfast to know what to do. Menu said full English includes toast but didn’t explain need to toast your own. More teaspoon would also help when several people trying to get coffee and tea.

Comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. Very nice home-made cider.

Having to use a fob to open the front door. Caravan bolted on to the hotel and outside could do with better attention. Overflowing gutter/drains.Needs professionally decorating and generally having an air of quality. I understand it used to be a hostel (which is fine) but still feels a bit like it.

Exceptional water pressure in the shower, clean and friendly staff. Food is good too

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, just on the outskirts of Hastings The staff were amazing, we were offered a hot drink on arrival while booking in and our dog had a biscuit tooIf there’s anything you need please ask the staff they will do everything they can to help you We’d left our dog lead at home and they lent us their lead for 3 days which was very appreciated The beds were comfy and the rooms very clean, there was a little road noise which didn’t bother us, there are ear plugs left next to the bed if you need them We also had tea & coffee making facilities in the room, which was nice before breakfast We had a cooked breakfast every morning which set us up for the whole dayThe hotel has lovely grounds plenty of places to sit outside, this is not a modern hotel but a lovely quirky old building which made us feel so welcome

We were in room 10 which is described as a suite but it’s a double room one side of the corridor bathroom in the middle and a single room at the end of the corridor All with individual locks on each door as a fire exit goes through the corridor so on a night time we all had to lock our doors which was ok for us but if you had a young child in the single room it would be a problem

Lovely unique hotel on the outskirts of Hasting. Quirky, clean and very comfortable room . Staff go above and beyond , breakfast was very good , absolutely no complaints at all and would stay again .

Usually reviews relate to friendly staff with all facilities being good. The Guestling Hall Hotel, in all it's entirety goes above and beyond. The building itself is welcoming and warm, staff exceptional and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, if any bother at all! Room was comfortable space. All in all a really lovely stay.

    Nothing...except possible road noise

Quirky old house with bags of character..

Our room lay-out was a little weird but was the last room available.. would opt for another room if we stayed again

The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The hotel had plenty of lounge areas and lots of history. The gardens were well kept with plenty of outdoor seating.

One of the bedrooms was very hot and there was no way to turn the radiator down.

    8CatherinePosted on: 4-13-2025

Eclectic hotel. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Breakfast was nice but the set up a bit strange with only instant coffee available.

    6SusanPosted on: 4-7-2025

Great location.Comfortable bed. Good showerComfortable lounges

Staff were friendly but no offer of help with luggage on arrival despite there being no other guests.Had to ask for a remote for TV. No knowledge of bar stock . Bedroom not fully carpeted. Floorboards not great for walking on barefooted. Lack of plugs. Very limited hanging space for clothes. Rickety furniture. Limited bar choices. Poor dining experience. We were presented with a piece of paper listing ‘specials’ - no description of the food just title e.g fish. We asked for the menu - no starters available- very basic choice of food. It arrived in a timely fashion but was of mediocre quality . Extremely disappointing. Very basic wine selection.

"A serene escape nestled in nature's embrace—this hotel is a hidden gem. Great decor, impeccable service and breathtaking views made it a truly unforgettable experience."

Staff is great and she is able to recommend local restaurants etc. very helpful. Also love large pot of tea when you just return from a long day!

Lovely friendly staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely quality restaurant in the evening was perfect.

    7SamanthaPosted on: 2-22-2025

It was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and helpful and I think a little embarrassed

We looked on the website before our stay and was excited for Sunday dinners, sandwiches and lite bites during the afternoons but these weren’t available. Very limited food. We could hear things being microwaved before being served. The swimming pool was under a dirty polytunnel and not open, the jacuzzi was empty. The window in our room had no lock so anybody could open it. We were offered to look at two other room but their layout were very peculiar. The furniture was all wobbly and no where really to unpack your clothes
