- Great location parking and nice staff
Cons -
- A very nice Indian restaurant within.
- Arrived and checked in the hotel. Got sent to a room which clearly had someone already in there. Bed wasn’t clean and towels on the floor and food in the bin. Wasn’t a good start then the receptionist changed the room.
- Had to pay £100 deposit on the room on arrival. No mention of that when I booked it. Also advertised as a good breakfast it was a continental breakfast spoiled a good stay

Clean, comfortable, ideally situated opposite train station. Shower nice and hot.
No lift as far as I could tell
Perfectly located for train station & Piece Hall. My request for quiet room on higher floor was sorted, room was clean & comfortable, staff friendly & hotel was amazing value. I will definitely be back!
Stayed here a few times now, Cosy and comfortable room and the new Indian was fantastic ….superb food thanks
Just so convenient close to the piece halls shops restaurants pubs railway station what more can be said
Noisey neighbours kept us awake for hours
Parking was included. Beds really comfortable. Perfect location amd friendly dtaff
Bathroom wasn’t very ckean
Location to the station
Contacted them twice before I got there to ask about parking never ever came back to me
Poor
Very disappointed with the breakfast. There were no cooked items, only packaged products, which made it feel poor value for money. For a hotel of this standard, I expected fresh and better-quality food.
Great location for the Piece Hall and town. Facilities are basic but clean.
No breakfast available.
The property is in a great location , close to the bus station and across the road from the train station , the one staff member on the front desk was very polite and friendly
The room was cold , walls and curtains were dirty and the furniture, shower room/toilet were all very outdated and run down. Other hotel users were screaming in their rooms and banging doors at 5am
I don't get the hate for this place. The reception area is excellent. The male staff member I had all my dealings with was excellent. Shower was perfectly fine. You get what you pay for.
Single room was small but I was aware of that from the photos in advance. Breakfast choices were spartan.
Great location close to the train station
The bathroom and other areas in the room needed a touch up the fan was dirty and paint work crumbling
Proximity to town centreNothing else
Everything The room was a dump, unclean, bin full of rubbish, unmade bed, dirty towels in bathroom, the place stank, I got moved to another room which was small and damp.
The location was good.. The bed linen and towels were of decent quality and clean. Comfortable bed. Good wifi . Parking good. For the price we paid we were satisfied with what we got.
The room was in need of upgrading. Lots of noise on our first night from noisy neighbours.
Close to town centre
The bed wasnt very comfortable and the curtains where pointless like paper
Excellent location
Room very cramped and tired, could do with a refurb, bedding clean but room very dusty in places, nice big bed but too big for the room, could only just get round it, could clearly hear people speaking in adjoining rooms - ‘hidden’ further £100 deposit per room on arrival refundable after stay
Great location for Piece Hall concert. Bed was comfortable.
Room / shared areas desperately in need of refurb - may have been cleaned but looked dirty due to condition. Extremely poor breakfast. Staff ok but not overly helpful or professional. View from room window was skip/ junk yard. Hotel parking on a derelict site. Overall very disappointing.
Great location within a few minutes walk to town centre
Not very clean, noisy, and a £100 deposit required on arrival
