- I needed to amend my booking, I tried calling 20 + times and got an answer machine everytime, not good
- At check-in they could not fined our booking. Eventually they did.

Location was perfect as we were attending a Wedding at Clearwell Castle. Accommodation was fine, we were in the Lodge next to the main hotel with a large bedroom and bathroom very clean.
Locked up couldn’t get in
Couldn’t stay no one there
Spacious rooms /comfortable /
We didn’t realise we would need to have breakfast in the castle so that would have been good to know. Also castle needs better lighting on staircases as a guest fell down a few steps as it was dark but this is not the Wyndham’s fault but the castle owns the business.
Very clean and comfortable.
There was no bar or food available.
Staff were so friendly and we had a wedding at Clearwell Castle, so perfect location, lodge was stunning and very large room and cosy. Beautiful location.
Shower was not warm and was more a drizzle and breakfast was very early and not for long.
Location to attend a wedding in the castle
Room and bathroom wasn’t clean.Bedroom or bathroom not serviced so no clean towels on second day.
Nicely located in a gorgeous little village with nice nearby places to eat and drink. Check in is super early and the staff were communicative pre arrival. When we had issues the team communicated well to sort the problem out. Unusually large rooms great for families or groups of friends. EV charging on site.
The lovely bar in the pictures isn’t actually open, plus the beds in one of the rooms we booked were very creaky and noisy. Quite pricey for what it is.
Close to the castle. Easy to check in and out.
Needs updating to freshen it up
Very convenient, beautiful scenery and early check in
Slightly overpriced, slightly odd having no staff around (completely contactless arrival, duration and departure)
Nice hotel with friendly staff perfect for access to the castle, caves and forest. Hotel bar closed while wedding taking place at the castle & no other facilities to speak of. Well equipped and clean room. Breakfast was nice but had to keep asking for extra cups/coffee/breakfast items.
Quite expensive for location/facilities
Good quality room with all facilities
Dirty corner on floor in bathroom, not much milk for coffee
Lovely big room. The bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities, large wet room shower. Good size wardrobe and good heating and lighting.Nice breakfast.
There was a bit of a mixup with the rooms as someone was in my mother in law's and a friend's room already when we arrived but this was sorted out quickly by the staff.Other than that it was very good.
Spacious room, comfy bed, great for a wedding at Clearwell Castle nearby.
Breakfast was pretty average the first morning - stale bread rolls and no eggs.
Breakfast was fantastic and so were the staff at breakfast.
Toilet in our room seem very close to the wall, so not much elbow room.
Location to the wedding venue.
The room was cold and had not been cleaned thoroughly. Cup stain marks on the dressing table and bedside table . There were cobwebs and dead spiders in the bathroom. Which was very clear the bathroom had not been cleaned properly
Bedrooms were lovely, I liked how they were styled and they were very comfy. Bed was lovely and comfortable, we slept well. Some of the breakfast offerings such as the pastries and fruit Location was good and was convenient for everything we had planned during our trip to the area. We had a good meal at the butchers arms, this was a really helpful recommendation that we were given by the Wyndham.
Lack of staff presence, remote check in was not something I’d done before and it seemed strange not having much / any contact with staff at certain times like arrival/departure /breakfast. It felt a bit impersonal There were a few hitches at breakfast like bread rolls being put out which were discovered to have mould on and needed to be replaced, small jugs for milk so would run out quickly, some items lacking such as spoons for cereal and napkins. As a vegetarian it was also a shame that there was no warm options to cater for this, a few eggs being done would be a way that this could be done in future and would fit the roll concept along the same lines as the bacon and sausage. Toast as an option would also be good to go with the jams that were put out, as there was nothing obvious for these to be used with from the food selections available.I also had an issue with my shower (room 4 in Wyndham lodge) in that I could not change the water temperature as the relevant dial would not move. It seemed to be stuck on a very hot temperature and therefore I could not put myself fully under the water and had to be quite creative in order to get myself clean and rinsed as a result.
The location is close to Clearwell Castle wedding venue. The beds are clean and comfy.
The check in arrangements are a joke. Took well over an hour to checkin - no staff anywhere in the hotel and no one answers phone calls. We eventually had to walk back to the castle to get the keys. No explanation of check in was given other than they hold the right to implement remote check in (whatever that is).No toiletries other than liquid soap. (Given the price of the room you would expect better)Breakfast (in the castle) poorly organised.Hairs in the shower (not ours)
