Desalis Hotel London Stansted

The check in and check out staff were lovely.. happy.. smiley,, welcoming,,are conversation the residents were lovely.. the restaurant staff were lovely,, polite,, easy to talk to,, lady dropped meal off to my room,, the ? had beautiful decor and a cafe

There was building going on above the room for 2 days,, everytime the polish seems to hear you move they were banging on the floor,, it was unbearabthe food at the restaurant was terrible,, no liquids soap,, noisy residents,,

The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and clean. The location was great for being near to the airport. It was also a quite place to stay (apart from the obvious aeroplanes, being so close to Stansted). There was also ample parking.

The shower leaked very badly and flooded the floor of the bathroom. We had to use our towels to mop it up. Also, when we arrived there was no one at reception, so we didn't know how to check in.

Proximity to Stansted Airport.

Outside was like a building site.Staff were distant with some who looked like they had walked in off the street and made me feel uncomforatble. Some of the guests were very noisy late at night. No reception staff until about 9 am.Carpet in room was dirty.

The room was a decent size and clean. I had to ask for a hairdryer. No connection to wifi or even mobile calls

Poor customer service, tried to contact the hotel on multiple occasions via email, through booking.com and phone before my stay and couldn’t get through and still no reply.

It was a good distance to the airport. My room was large and warm.

I found it a bit nosey when the corridor doors were being open/closed. You can also hear planes flying but it is expected with such a close proximity to the airport.

Good location, excellent staff.

The room we were in was in need of renovation. Other rooms had been renovated but not ours. The excellent manager offered to move us to a different room but we were very short of time. In the end it didn’t really matter. We got back after a night out in Chelmsford at 2pm and hit the hay in the excellent bed, got up at 9.30am and headed home.

too far from the airport. back and forth to airport still cost around 40 pounds, might as well stay at radissons for 90 pounds as the room itself is 49 pounds plus 40 from transport

Great hotel, amazing price for a hotel very close to the airport. Room was clean and spacious with a smart tv.

Signal and hotel wifi in our room was very very poor, we had to sit outside our room in the hallway or in the lobby to be able to use our phones. We couldn’t watch anything on the tv due to this issue too.

Everything. Bed uncomfortable, stuffy room, rude receptionist, don't park there for more than 10mins because no one will tell you about the parking fee and you may get stung with a fine... Pay the extra and stay somewhere else.

Nice place stay just airport transfer was lott of money as i ad also get taxi there and used the airport transfer shuttle . Hotel was nice though but thank U . I got airport early for 4 am in the morning

It is not good value for money as a single traveller. BECAUSE. . When it says on booking.com hotel transfer from the airport it dosent state the times or the cost. So I arrived at Stansted airport for a flight the next morning at 4.30pm . Phoned the hotel for transport to be told very abruptly that transport finished at 4pm. He then put the phone down without a goodbye or no further help. Had to get a taxi .The fare is £20. The transfer back in the morning is £18 both extortionate for that short journey. I tjought that was because of the set down fee but he dropped me outside of that and I then had to walk with my luggage. The rooms are basic . The sink was cracked, the shower door was hanging off and didn't close. There are no bedside lamps so you have to get in and out of bed to turn lights on / off. The corriodors are dark and full of stuff. Check out was done by the cleaner. I wished I had stayed at one of the airport hotels. And have learned a lesson. Cheaper is definitely not better.

Check in/ very miserable young man ..didn't feel very welcomed. Invest in some better pillows

Close to Stansted and very economical.

You do hear all the planes overhead and you have to pay for parking at the hotel.

Only 2km from Stansted Airport. Friendly staff. ADORABLE CAT! Nice food in the restaurant. The taxi transfer service is much cheaper than booking a private taxi. Comfy bed and bedding.

Dated decor and although it’s not the hotels fault, it’s a shame there isn’t a footpath on the road to the airport.
