The house keeping staff were a bit loud,, still loud,, talked about the guests a bit,, did feel like a bit of a problem

Located near to airport and in a nice safe village. Pub was great too. Great value for money and car parking was safe.

Music was playing loud all night in the pub and the aircraft noise was loud flying overhead but I guess that is to be expected. Thus a good nights sleep wasn't what we got. The bed was awful too and slanted into the middle badly so me and the wife were tossing and tugging each other all night annoyingly.

Jackie is a super front line receptionist and always makes us very welcome from the first time we stayed as Mr & Mrs. Smith!!Lovely room opposite church with a beautiful view of the windmill.

Breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of options, all tasting good. Great way to start the day. Dinner was okay. The room was a good size, nice hot shower, plenty of plug ins for electronics.

Hotel offered unsecured wifi. Then, in order to log on to their wifi, you had to provide personal information. Staff was asked for a better, different option but could not provide one. We chose not to use the hotel wifi. We ate dinner down the road at the Maypole pub and they offered free, secure WiFi. For the price of our hotel, we excepted the same level of free, secure WiFi.

Room was very hot during the night and the window wouldn’t open. Bathroom was noisy because of water tank/boiler.

Room was clean, bed comfy, shower brill, breakfast huge and tasty. Good good price!

Staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Excellent choice for breakfast from continental to full English. Part self service with the cooked element served at the table. Rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. Sunday lunch was excellent.

The room was warm so we had to open the window which meant we could hear the road outside and the planes heading to Stanstead Airport. Might be advisable to request a room away from the road.

Food was excellent, I couldn't fault the breakfast it was huge and delicious. Perfect poached eggs, thick back bacon, good quality sausages and unlimited tea and coffee. Staff were very friendly and efficient.Room was pleasantly decorated with TV, kettle, hairdryer and iron. Very clean, shower was nice and bed was comfortable.

My room was directly above the bar and I was kept awake until the bar closed. Better to stay in the out buildings if you need an early, quiet night. Not a problem if you are staying up until 10pm-ish.No shampoo or conditioner, just small courtesy bottles would suffice. Window wouldn't close properly so there was a bit of a draft.

Very friendly pub, great location for Stansted. Food was pleasant and reasonable value. Would go back. Thaxted is a nice village for a stroll round to kill a bit of time.

The rooms are very well decorated and maintained. The breakfast is particularly good, but all the meals were good.The staff at this hotel and pub are a credit to Greene King and without exception are very friendly and very good at their jobs.

Would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than one over a bath.

The TV didn’t work, and neither did the hot water in the bath (which was tepid, so had to have a shower). The soap dispenser is too high if you are in the bath.
