Pros +
- we traveled in a group of 8. breakfast staff very rude about seating us together. At dinner Wait staff slow, our waitress serving 3 tables at a time while other wait staff clearing dinner setting and preparing for breakfast.
- the view was amazing the receptionist was wonderful, funny and very helpful
- Beautiful location, hotel sits on a lake, cannot get more gorgeous than this. The restaurant downstairs has the best views. Our room was lake view as well and it was amazing waking up to the sun rising over the lake. Food was good, breakfast buffet had a good variety, room was quite spacious.
Cons -
- In USA all wait staff work together for all tables. if a wait person passes a table that needs something they take care of it, instead of a long wait of one person to extended to be timely.
- the rooms were a bit old fashioned; the hotel is in need of a make-over the breakfast staff was rude and seemed overworked
- Some of the staff members were not very friendly, they were openly rude. No elevator in the hotel so we had to drag our luggage upstairs. Parking area was more like a dirt road filled with stones/rocks/pebbles, not the most conformable to drive on.

Great location and beautiful views of the loch.
Staff did not respond to heater or bathroom exhaust malfunction, even after repeated requests. Actually stating they would know if there is a problem. Wait staff unfriendly.
The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was very nice
The bed was quite uncomfortable and in general the hotel quality didn't match the price. The entrance to the hotel felt like we were going through a back door and the whole building felt weirdly laid out. The pool lacked anywhere to relax by the pool and seemed as if the sauna was just slotted in where it would fit. Many other guests came in with books and quickly realised there was nowhere to sit. The dining area seems far too big and would benefit instead of having a lounge area with sofas or armchairs instead of only dining set ups. also at breakfast alot of the crockery was dirty and still had food on it. Lastly the lighting in the dining room is quite clinical and would benefit from a warmer tone, too much like hospital lighting
The breakfast was great, enjoyed the buffet style. The views were beautiful! The bathroom area was spacious.
The bed was two bed pushed together and made into a larger bed, not an issue but the beds were not the exact same height so there was a hard lip in the middle and made it uncomfortable at times.
Clean, updated, comfortable
The meals were very good, and you couldn't beat the view from the eating area. The parking was easy, and check in easy. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room very comfortable and spacious.
No elevators but this wasn't a something we didn't know. Just a reminder, as our rooms were on the second floor and very far from the staircase. For those with health issues I would call ahead and see if they can make something a bit easier for your stay.
location near Glencoe
Room and restraunt seemed runndown
Nice assortment of games to play in the common area.
3 flights of stairs, very hot, no working TV and no internet.
Beautiful location, great breakfast. Went kayaking and walking along the beautiful shore.
Was hot in the evening. Thank goodness for the fan.
We arrived late and the front desk staff and chef were extremely accommodating to make sure we had something to eat before bed! Everyone was very friendly, location was great to explore the highlands and we would absolutely come back.
Only comment is the mattresses could use updating - might only be our personal preference but we felt the springs and it was a bit uncomfortable
Location. liked that we could open the window. The staff at breakfast were helpful and considerate to our dietary needs.
Reception staff was rude, when we called the property we were hung up on; when we brought that issue to the front desk the staff disbelieved us and told us we were wrong. threadbare carpets, overpriced room, not many places to relax and the room was small. Room smelt of bleach which was made it difficult to breathe. Despite the rain we had to open the windows fully to remove the smell.
The whole hotel from the check in/ management experience to the food/ wine and room were very good! Doesnt hurt that this hotel probably has one of the best location/ views of natural landscape beauty in the world. Our 4 year old daughter got car sick on the mountain roads and the hotel staff were so amazing to help us in everything we needed to clean up the car seat. Things you dont think about when reserving a hotel but this one will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable in your stay! WILL BE BACK.
No AC so the warm day was making for uncomfortable sleep.
The view.
Dated and no air conditioning. Had to open a window door to sleep and we are on the ground floor.
The pool
Hot tub advertised, but no hot tub. Dining was expensive.
The location is amazing and the room was nice for a family of 4. The bunk beds were a plus for the kids. The bar and seating areas have an amazing view.
The bar was small with a limited selection of whisky. Service at the bar was slow most of the time. The attached restaurant has a beautiful glass room overlooking the loch but the food was terrible and very expensive. I simply had the worst steak I have ever tried to eat for £50.
Great location, terrific staff.
Limited menu and quite pricey for food...simpler is better
Beautiful location
No elevator and large tour groups
Location was great
Could only stay one night. No gym
