Lovely bathroom with great shower, I had my own front door and room key so I could be free to come and go as I pleased, fresh towels, tea and biscuits replenished in my room .. so kind, LOVELY!

Loved this quaint hotel - exactly what we were looking for in the way of character and charm. Great bar and great staff.

The bar and lounge were snug and cozy / bedroom was warm spacious and shower was the best I have used in 40 years of travelling

We stayed for two nights and couldn't have felt more at home! All the staff were super friendly and happy to help, the room was quiet, cosy, and well equipped, and Tarves is a beautiful place to explore! The food was excellent, both for breakfast and dinner, and the bar is very fairly priced too. We travelled with our dogs who got a bit spooked and barked at the cleaner when left in the room at breakfast, but all the staff were very understanding and the dogs soon settled. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying again!

Everything was perfect. Miss Valerie, the owner, she's absolutely fantastic; polite, always available to help with any problem. The breakfast was amazing.Moreover there is a very nice pub inside the hotel, the food is incredibly good. The atmosphere there was excellent.The hotel is very good value for money, clean, safe, and comfortable.

The staff were exceptional especially the young lady who checked us in. She went above and beyond as I suffer from sciatica and was in bad pain on that particular day, and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had dinner that evening and the food was 10/10, such big portions couldn’t manage a dessert and our dog could also be beside us in a different area. The breakfast by Val was also 10/10, such a lovely person. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom also clean. Will definitely be back. We went back a second time for an evening meal for my birthday the food was so good and we had a 3 course meal.

Exceptionally kind staff, especially the woman who made our breakfast! Breakfast was delicious and filling. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable. Can’t beat having a pub beneath your feet.

Bathroom was very smelly, but as long as you kept the door shut, it was not detectable in the room.
