No breakfast available but we knew that when we booked. And there is very good self catering kitchen and eating and lounge area available.
Extremely Excellent welcome by Tracey, location of the property, wonderful view, car parking, fully equipped kitchen for self catering, place to store cold foods. Rooms were clean and warm.
Double room was quite small for the size.
Very friendly and accommodating stuff, comfortable bed, beautiful garden and views, nice common areas.
A wonderfully situated property with stellar views of the bay and Holy Island. A nice walk into town. The communal kitchen was fantastic, and the common area was lovely for family gatherings and a glass of wine. Ample parking. They had a lot of refrigerator space and the kitchen was very well-stocked with tools and a very large cooktop and oven. Views from the common areas were fantastic.
We were a family of five and they were kind enough to situate us with next door rooms. However, the "basic double" room with the bunk beds was the smallest room in all of our European travels--even central London. Our children referred to it as the pigeon coop. I have to say that it was very uncomfortable. One person had to leave the room in order to do anything in the room. The bathroom window didn't open and it got muggy. I would say this is a single or maybe ok for two kids with no luggage. For adults, I would not recommend. However, the triple room next door was pleasant and spacious well enough for three.
This was a great value in a location with a great view. The rooms are tiny but have all you need for sleeping and showering..they are truly sleep huts. You have access to a great kitchen in the main lodge and can store and cook food there. This worked well for us as we were gone all day and could purchase and prepare our own food instead of restaurants for every meal. If you are outdoorsy and self sufficient, this place is for you. Even though small they think of everything...even had an iron and ironing board. Plentiful parking.
Rooms close together so you hear people on the walkway but everyone was quiet and polite.
Clean comfortable and stunning location and views
I booked early and paid the going rate… later on the price dropped quite a bit so that was a bit frustrating.
The staff (Jeanette) greeted us like old friends. We spent a little over two weeks here house hunting...met new friends from all over the world... Returning in August to finalize our house hunt...Can't say enough about the staff and owners making is feel welcome as Americans moving to Scotland.Ten out of Ten!!!
Leaving
Close enough to the area but still private and secluded
Everything was very small like the room and bathroom but it worked for us
Great location convenient parking and good kitchen facility
Bed wasn't very comfortable
Amazing views, great location, room. was clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, clean, tidy, and spacious.
A truly beautiful location. Stunning views and convenient for a pretty, local town. The rooms were clean and comfortable - both the Lodge and the sleep huts. The kitchen and dining room were very well appointed and proved a lovely place to enjoy our family breakfasts.
Nothing really - the sleep huts could perhaps be modernized a little, but still represented very good value for money.
Price, facilities a d location
High standard of cleanliness. Staff very helpful. Nice and cosy the rooms were. Great views.
Such a beautiful spot!! The kitchen was so well equipped and cosy, and the lounge is comfy and has stunning views. It was even better than the photos. Lovely lovely place. Highly recommend!
Just perfect as a solo traveller. Clean, simple, quiet and with a beautiful view.
Compared with rest of Arran accommodation prices it was good value. Room small but warm comfortable and had kettle for drinks. Hot shower. Lovely views of Holy Isle. Good fully equipped kitchen. Large car park. Close to Lamlash for amenities to walk to. It's basic good backpackers accommodation and we would use again.
Towels a bit dry and rough.
Fantastic location. Huts quite basic but clean, hot shower and comfortable bed.
The staff were all LOVELY. Cannot fault them. The room was an OK size. My son enjoyed the local cat. I really liked the seats at the water front. Beautiful scenery close by and amazing views. Great kitchen facilities in the main building. On site parking.
The WiFi was terrible and didn't work. The TV in the room didn't work. The bed was pretty uncomfortable to sleep on. The toilet was insanely loud and drained for about 20 mins after you flushed it. I feel that it is very overpriced for what you get.
