Pros +
- The lady on reception during checking in and out was very cheery and helpful. Even when I asked for another towel as we only had one she got another straight away even though she was on her own.
- Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.
- I would not stop at...
Cons -
- I left my jeans there in the room! Contacted the hotel 2 days later was told housekeeping had not handed anything in, after various calls to and from after 5 days, 3 checks of the room and another guest they were found in the room in the draws where left!
- Room was cold as heating didn't work properly. Decor was very tired, it had definitely seen better days. No hot water in the morning. £70 is cheap for a nights stay but this wasn't great at all.
- I arrived just after 9pm and the building was in darkness and all locked up with a note on the door telling me which room I was in and that they key was in the door. Due to no lighting in the carpark or around the building it took me ten minutes to find the room. Once inside the room I almost turn around and left, the room was not tidy marks all over the walls, cobwebs and spiders. The bathroom was just as bad where you could see the walls had been patched up with different coloured paint. It was not possible to have a bath as there was no plug (Not that I would have taken a bath in there). There were marks all over the carpet and although the bed did look clean I decided to sleep on top of the covers. I left at 9am and the building was still locked up so I didn't see any staff at all during my visit.

Buffalo Bills offers both a restaurant bar and accommodation, which are located on the same site but housed in separate buildings. The accommodation consists of a small block of maisonette-style units. What I appreciated during my stay was the ample parking available, complimentary Wi-Fi (unless it was included in the room rate), and consistently hot water. Beyond these aspects, there were limited standout features.
During my recent stay at Buffalo Bills, I noted several aspects that may be helpful for future guests to consider.Firstly, the establishment does not offer breakfast and does not open early in the day. The final food orders are taken at 19:45, and the menu during operating hours is quite limited. As a result, I chose to dine at The Blacksmith's Arms across the road, which provided a more suitable alternative. The accommodation itself is adequate, though somewhat dated. While the room was reasonably clean, it is important to note that housekeeping does not service rooms daily. In my particular room, there were visible signs of patchwork on the walls where repairs had been made and painted over.Amenities were minimal. A kettle was provided, along with coffee sachets that were unfortunately out of date. The sugar had either been exposed to moisture or was similarly past its best, resulting in clumping. I opted to purchase my own refreshments for convenience.Connectivity was a significant challenge, as there was no mobile phone or data signal available. Fortunately, I was given access to the Wi-Fi upon arrival, which was the only means of making calls or accessing the internet. While the accommodation met my basic needs for this visit, I would not choose to stay at Buffalo Bills again should I return to East Sussex. In terms of location, value for money, and overall convenience, I found little to recommend. For those considering accommodation in the immediate area, I would suggest looking into The Blacksmith's Arms, where I wish I had stayed.
Bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure is absolutely brilliant.
Other occupants arriving early hours of the morning. Noisy traffic and fire alarm flashing green light was too bright.
Nice rooms. Good location for the halland area. Friendly staff. Food was very good in the restaurant.
The restaurant ambience and food in the evening was very good. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The bed in the room was comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. As was the bathroom.
When we walked into our room it was smelly, damp mould. It should have been aired but it was caused by a hole in the bathroom ceiling where the damp was permeating from. The bathroom had no extraction, which would have caused the damp, which made me cough through the night. Also they advertised Breakfast at 7am on Saturday it was 9am and on Sunday we had to leave without coffee and breakfast because the restaurant didn’t open, even at 9.30.
Easy check in although despite paying in full prior to arrival. I was still asked to pay again. Luckily had the payment email from booking.
Bed felt old and soft. Clean and tidy though.
The location was very convenient. The staff were super friendly and were very helpful. The room was a little dated but was extremely clean and comfortable.Stayed for dinner in the restaurant and the food was good, as was the service, polite and helpful. Would return if in the area again to try other things on the menu.
Even though the shower was hot and good pressure, maybe needs new shower heads but can’t really complain or nit pick.
The staff were very helpful indeed. The evening meal snd breakfast were excellent.
The room decoration was rather old and tired. We had to ask for additional coat hangers and a hairdryer as these were not in our room.
Very speedy check in, just signed a form, added car reg No then given key. Hotel easy to find and although it was just by a main road it was quite quiet. Uckfield only a few mins drive away. Room could do with painting again and the carpet was a little dirty. The room was large and airy with everything I needed. Very good power in the shower. Had a good quiet nights sleep. check out by 11 am which was fine for me.
Staff were really great, friendly and helpful! Decent location!
Boiler was broken for both the nights so there was no hot water, there was a shower head installed but no option to change it from a bath to a shower!? Pedal bin fell apart when I tried to open it with my foot ? (did receive a partial refund)
Bad
Over priced, no chef so no food. Cobwebs and unclean bedrooms. TV didn't work. Worst place I've ever stayed! Then staff had the cheek to challenge us for eating a sandwich in the empty restaurant which we had to drive miles to get after a long day in work.

No breakfast
3 light bulbs missing, and no staff after 8.30 pm to rectify, no central heating when it was 5C outside, no blankets, breakfast, overpriced at £90...

We stayed at Buffalo Bill's motel on 14/09/24.The good points were: the welcoming was great, we had food and it was tasty, (not sure how fresh it was but still enjoyable), the services were reasonably okay, so I paid for the service charge.
Onto the bad points: Our room was very outdated, the bed itself was comfortable, there was not any central heating, therefore it was freezing. I didn't have the best sleep so I was cold for the entirety of the night, only one set of towels for 2, no spare cover, no water bottles. Very poor for 3 star hotel/motel, the room was very drafty, and at 9:00 am someone put their music so loud and it woke us up.

The location and the pub across the road.
Found empty food containers in a drawer, no staff available to report this to. Black mould arround bottom of door, towel holder fell off the wall again not staff arround. The restaurant and bar closed at 8p.m. There was no hairdryer as advertised. No no slip mat in the shower and shower head holder was broken. Not what I expected nothing like the picture attached to my booking conformation.
Clean room.
The food is overpriced for what you get/the presentation. The decoration is dated and run down. There was one single member of staff on reception, bar and “table service”. Paid 12% table service fee ontop of food etc which is fine if there was actual table service. we had to ask for sauces, cutlery, drinks menu (which was unavailable) we also sat and waited for someone to come and ask if we wanted dessert or anything else he didn’t so we went to the bar and asked for the bill so that we could pay and leave. No offer of breakfast before 10am and also no information given about where to hand in our key if we wanted to leave before 10am.
