Garner Hotel Chesterfield North By IHG

Lovely helpful friendly staff, our room seemed a little dated but was clean and comfortable. Location was perfect with a few fast food chains and I pub within a two minute walk

Excellent staff, great check-in / check out procedure and room was very clean and a good size.

The rooms, both bedroom and bathroom, were bigger than expected and very comfortable. You could open the windows.

There wasn't a fridge. The spare pillows were really hard.

The location

I always use this hotel but on this visit the room allocated was very different the window didn’t have adequate glazing and you could hear everything outside and the delivery to the hotel at 06.00 was going on for 40 minutes without any consideration to the amount of noise made so the worst night ever at this hotel I did complain

Window in room did not open, the handle was loose.Window did not close properly so lots of road noise heard from area.Carpets in corridor areas could do with clean.Pillows could do with being replaced

Good stay. Comfortable bed , good shower and thank you to all the staff who were excellent. Good value for money and would recommend booking to stay here .

There is tea n coffee facilities in the room which is great. Perhaps water also would be good.

Staff and location.

Hotel is very outdated and in comparison to other ibis hotels. Needs updating.

Ok for a couple of nights

Didn't like being woken up at 5 am by a delivery van / lorry with the reversing alarm blaring out. Not the fault of the hotel though

Parking, cleanliness, comfort , great breakfast

The bed was squeaky but comfortable.

Not having a squeaky bed. Staff could have reported it when changing the sheets as it was noticeable without getting into it.

The rooms were very clean and tidy, staff were helpful and it's in a good location. I've stayed here a few times before and would recommend it.

There was nothing to dislike,

There was a strange smell in certain areas of the hotel which wasn’t pleasant. Bed wasn’t great and strange that the sheet only covered the mattress topper! Breakfast was awful and because we had the dog with us a table and chairs was set up in the reception area! Felt like we had been put on the naughty table.

Though slightly dated the room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Reception staff were super friendly, professional and went above and beyond to help us with local information and maps. Great place for the price. Recommend!

Location was convenient but in a run down area.

Somewhere nicer for meals would have been good, so we could have had breakfast.Bathroom had an unpleasant smell.

Basic Hotel, as I would expect from Ibis but very convenient close to the motorway. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are average and these days looking a bit tired. Disappointed that the cables had been stolen from the electric car charges, same for everywhere in the locality, which was one of the reasons for staying here, but of course that’s not the fault of the hotel.

The staff are polite and friendly the bar and pool table was good .there is mc ds harvester close by . Beds comfortable hotel is clean
