the staff. Overall best in a long time. The food in the restaurant was a surprise. Way better than expected. The steak was as good as any I have had anywhere. A lot of other choices as well. Desserts are decadent and portions large.

Great location, clean and tidy room. The host and staff were fantastic and the lamb in the pub was out of this world. Also useful to have the petrol shop next door.

I think the bed is ready for a change.

Staff, food and accommodation was fantastic. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if in the area.Nothing was to much trouble for Kathleen and her staff(Callum+Brooklyn)the chefs food was really nice and hats off to him. The locals are so friendly and make you feel welcome.

Nothing can't fault the place

Excellent service, room was spacious and clean. Food was excellent and a good range of drinks available.

There wasn’t a chair in the bedroom, so if you want to watch TV in the evening the only options were to lie on the bed, or sit in a stool with no back.

Very clean room. Lovely and warm. Pleasant staff. Quiet location, good parking. Ate in the pub and the food was quite good.

I felt for the price, compared to others in the group who had stayed elsewhere, it was possibly on the higher price range, therefore might have expected slightly higher quality facilities, such as larger more comfortable bed, working TV.

Attractive welcoming Inn with well appointed accommodation. Kathleen the host was lovely and made sure we were well looked after. The food prepared by Mick was delicious.

The room and the pub have been recently renovated to a very high standard. The room was tastefully decorated, very clean and warm. The bathroom and shower were great. Kathleen really couldn’t do enough for us and the pub served great food and the locals made us feel very welcome. Just a shame about the weather.

The only thing I could really criticise is having only a double bed. That is probably our fault and not there’sprobably should have read the details a bit closer, but we struggled on a double having normally a super king. That’s the only minor issue.

The property was absolutely amazing. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Brooke who was our waitress last night and the food was absolutely amazing

The accommodation was very nicely done. Nice touches like bottles of water in the room. Was nice a warm. Staff very friendly. The dining room was nice with a real log fire. Bar area modern - with a pool table.

The bed was a little small, not sure if it was a small double? Found it difficult to sleep as mattress a bit soft for us, but that’s obviously a personal preference. Breakfast was nice but no options - just a cooked breakfast as the chef decided and we didn’t have the option to say what we’d like. No jam with the toast. But was nicely cooked.

Great food in the restaurant and a lovely clean, comfortable and modern room. Very nice breakfast too.

the landlady was realy nice and welcoming food was fantastic location great would help if public transport ran threw to go into York the rooms were very clean and tea and coffee to hand very spaces

I would give this accomadation 10 out of 10 if they replaced the matteres they are sprung and are very uncomfortable even do theve put a topper on if they replace the matteres the accomadation would be 10 out of 10 because the landlady and staff are excellent the food great and accomadation very clean

absolutely amazing food!! compliments to the chef!!waitress was very attentive and friendly. it was a modern decorated room, well laid out furniture, extremely comfortable bed!, very cosy and warm and peaceful. Thank-you.

minimal toiletries for a deluxe room, felt uncomfortable asking for more. coffee machine needed instructions.Was a little disappointed with the deluxe side of things.

Good size room with en suite, separate from main building which made it very quiet. Recently updated with good access and modern feel.

Bed too soft for me, but my wife loved it, so just personal preference!

Myself ,a friend and two dogs were walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The Manor Inn is bang on the route and pet friendly. The staff were all friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Kathleen gave us all the information we needed and amended our evening meal booking as we were so hungry we needed it earlier. A good job as the whole village had a power cut at the time of our original booking. Everyone stayed in the bar during the power cut and it was a lovely atmosphere. The room and food were great. Large portions .

It was hard to decide where /how to get someone's attention when you want to book in for your room when the pub is not open. WE ate in the bar as we had the dogs which is no problem but when you have been walking all day a chair would be nice rather than a stool. We still enjoyed it though.

Great location with great facilities. My breakfast and evening meal was outstanding. I would highly recommend the steak, it was superb and cooked to perfection. Kathleen and all the staff are amazing, helpful, and made sure I wanted for nothing. Absolutely faultless in every aspect and very welcoming. Amazing value for money, I'll will be coming back, the perfect hosts. Big thank you to everyone.

The only thing I would of liked was a larger bath towel but this is so picky of me

Very relaxed, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great location - easy to get to York. Evening meal was 5 star-( can see why you need to book ahead for restaurant at the weekend- and so glad we did!)Oh and very friendly staff and great prices. You won' t be saying 'Ow much? here.Excellent!
