    • Fun place in middle of townVery strict about early check in. Not a second before 4pmVery disappointing Bed needs replacingDon’t be on First floor unless you enjoy terrible racket above you late into the night and early in the morning Staff was great Breakfast superb
    • The hotel was well maintained. Our room most likely had been upgraded with plenty of outlets for charging our devices. It was very comfortable with beautiful furnishings. We had Room 2 "The Darrowby Suite." Loved the bar and had a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Absolutely nothing negative about this hotel.
    • The room was lovely though the view out the window was of a parking lot. The food was delicious, beer choices solid. Breakfast was yummy. Staff was very nice.

    Cons -

    • Everything was great!
    • My room was next to the fire door. This meant that every time a guest walked through the door, there was a loud slam. I also had to clean the vents on the blow dryer before using, as it was completely clogged with lint.
    • While breakfast was great, the coffee could be improved.

Great location, friendly staff, and lovely touches throughout. Nice pub. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was fun to see the All Creatures Great and Small themes.

While breakfast was great, the coffee could be improved.

Our 7 night stay at The Devonshire was perfectly lovely. From the moment we were cheerfully greeted upon arrival by Kirsty, one of the owners, to the sad day we had to say goodbye, we could not have asked for anything more. Our room was pleasant, clean, quiet and spacious with all the comforts of home and the food was amazing! You won’t find a nicer group of people than at The Devonshire. Every single person at the inn and dining house was so kind and helpful and made my friend and me feel so welcome; they couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. The fact that this charming, historic inn is in the heart of picturesque Grassington is simply the cherry on the cake!

Beautiful pub in the wonderful village of Grassington. Most people know it as “The Drovers” very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful

    Nothing really

Breakfast was great. Full Yorkshire breakfast. The pub is used for external shots in All Creatures Great and Small so it was great to see scenes from the series. We stayed in the Farnon suite with views of the town square. Even though we were above the restaurant bar there was no noise.

Very very minor issue. Pub doesn’t have a car park but there is one 5 minutes walk away which was also full of sheep with their lambs.

    10SharonPosted on: 4-2-2025

The room was comfortable, cosy and clean. The pub itself was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious (we had breakfast and dinner). The location was perfect, it is a lovely compact, traditional Yorkshire town, with cute little shops and friendly pubs.

There was no parking available nearby, but we parked at the visitors centre which was a 5 minute walk away and not expensive. But if you require parking next to the pub, there was none available.

In the heart of the town, homely & welcoming

Our room was on the small side but was comfortable

Great location, friendly staff, nice modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Lovely choice of cooked breakfast items. We had booked dinner on the first night ….good choice, nicely cooked and very generous helpings.

Would have liked some fruit or pots of yoghurt on the cold breakfast bar as I don’t eat cereal, though the cooked part of breakfast was lovely There was a low level whining noise at times in the room at night…..not sure if it was from outside, or the interior plumbing ventilation

So adorable! I’m an “All Creatures” fan so it was a highlight of our trip to stay in this lovely building.

The temperature was somewhat too warm for us and hard to control. Other than that, we were comfortable.

    6StevePosted on: 3-23-2025

The staff were amazing and really friendly, the knowledge of food, drinks and all the rest of the services was great.

    The room was very basic.

    7TinaPosted on: 3-23-2025

Location is great, comfy beds, love the pub and the food was gorgeous , lovely staff, lovely Breakfast although could have done with being a bit hotter.

Our room was very tired looking and small for the price. The other rooms from what I saw looked nicer.
