- No restaurant Other Hilton’s I have stayed have been above and beyond my expectations..eg Prosecco for breakfast ,better buffet, a relaxing lounge room with snacks and coffee etc rooms breathtaking proper bar with entertainment.. this one was extremely disappointing Only offered frozen pizzas and cheese boards and the bar had no atmosphere and was rushly run by the receptionist next door

Great location. Sizeable room, comfortable throughout. Great, quick service from all staff dealt with. Definitely recommend.

Ideal location
Very small room. No water provided noisy heater
Central location, extremely comfy bed, friendly staff.
Bit awkward lighting in the bedroom with master switch. Breakfast was good but in my opinion overpriced.
Location. Very clean
Car park is small
Great location and a lovely hotel. Very quiet and breakfast was exceptional. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The location was perfect.
I requested to change rooms due to the allocated bedroom facing a brick wall less than a metre away which completely covered the window. I therefore, paid extra to stay in a Heritage Suite as this was apparently the only available room during a mid week stay. Whilst the room was decorated beautifully, the bathroom fittings were covered in limescale and virtually inoperable especially the handheld shower flex (will not move)! and the basin taps difficult. The water in both the bath and shower were tepid so during the cold weather not very pleasant. The waste bin was not emptied and teabags had to be requested. When you are paying a higher price the smaller details are important. Breakfast was also a little disappointing. A fruit cup and croissants for the buffet. Would I be excited to stay at this hotel again, probably not !
Excellent location with parking. The room was comfortable with nice soap. Interesting building and history which had been sensitively renovated.

Wish there was more on site parking.
Lovely hotel, with an interesting history. Great location, and St Albans is wonderful. We also arrived early enough to get one of the parking spaces at the hotel, and didn’t have to vacate that space until 1.00 so were able to go into town for the morning after checking out.
Nothing really. We went into town for breakfast.
Great location, very kind & friendly staff.
On expensive side of things for small hotel.
Warm welcome, rapid check in and shown to room. Excellent location close to centre, pubs shops and restaurants. Very good freshly cooked breakfast and attentive service. Comfortable bed and no nonsense check out.
An extra bed cover or blanket would be appreciated by those who like a bit of extra weight and warmth. Air con good but not the same as snuggling into bed covers.
Excellent staff, clean and comfortable.
Rooms are very nicely furnished and very clean. Lots of storage space with a great shower and comfortable beds with high quality linen. Location is perfect and parking is free. Staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was not great. Continental section was poor and had to wait 10 mins for a coffee mug. Granola pot wasn’t good. We only had breakfast once. For other 3 mornings, we went into town. I feel it’s too expensive.
Location, helpful reception staff
