The property was very clean and close to Windermere but far enough away from and disturbance.

Nothing it had everything what you need for a hotel.

Beautiful place and quirky decor. FREE birds of prey was good too.Very tasty breaki.

No atmosphere. Booked to eat dinner there but as no music or atmosphere we went to town, shame as i heard great things about the food.Maybe live singer would help or even music playing.

The hotel is like something out of a book or movie. It is an amazing place to stay and the best way to describe the downstairs of the hotel is to be like you are living in a fairy tale with the reminders of Beatrix Potter and Alice in Wonderland. You have a hotel which suits all ages and we will definitely be back again. David on reception was also amazing to deal with and after a slight issue where my girlfriend had mislaid her mobile David came to the rescue when relocating it. To anybody who is looking for a hotel which suits any occasion or to spend time as a couple or with children then look no further than Lindeth Howe Hotel.

The service at the cocktail bar was slow but we put that down to time of the year. However, if you could improve on this then it would have been a perfect stay. The glasses at breakfast were still dirty and had marks on them but that would be nit picking.

    The location.

Rooms were cold and the food was average but expensive.

    8HeatherPosted on: 11-20-2025

Clean, quaint, great location, friendly staff.

My only criticism was that a really beautiful room was spoiled by the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. However, I didn’t want to complain so the hotel didn’t have the chance to rectify, to be fair.

Very helpful and relaxed staff. Good food. Interesting history. Fantastic extras - pianist in restaurant and bird of prey talk on Sunday morning

The hotel was beautiful inside and out.

The dining room was freezing on our first night. The food was average and ridiculously overpriced. £13 for dessert!

    9GemmaPosted on: 10-30-2025

Gorgeous decor and food, comfy beds, beautiful garden, friendly and attentive staff. Loved how peaceful and relaxing it was. Will definetly be back!

The walk to bowness was just a little bit too far in the evening to go for dinner but we found a local taxi who were excellent and it cost just £10 return. I asked the bar man at the hotel if he could make me a french martini that wasn't on the menu and he said he couldn't as it would mess up his stock ordering, I thought it would have been a nice touch if he could have made it, but I understood and chose something else.

Beautiful hotel, great location. Perfect for relaxing. The breakfast buffet table, great choice.

I didn’t enjoy the evening meal or breakfast as much as I expected to. Food only average and was very overpriced. Room could have been warmer. When asked, the staff boosted the radiators and supplied an extra duvet which was appreciated.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very nice too.

The food was very average and way overpriced.
